one more refillable mug ? - short

My friend got Magic refillable mugs(still wrapped and sealed) off of Ebay. These can be used on the ship they said. She ended up paying (I think) $32 for two of them (plus shipping). Did she get a raw deal? Can she use them?

The Refillable Soda Mug program must be purchased on board the ship. It is $5 per day of the entire cruise. So 3 day is $15, 4 day is $20 and 7 day is $35.

The mugs have changed designs twice that I have noticed over my 3 cruises.

IMHO your friend simply bought a collector's item, she did not purchase a Soda Program for the cruise. Mugs cannot be brought back to future cruises as the Soda Program is only sold for the cruise that you are on, not future cruises.

We just returned from a 4 day Wonder cruise (over New Year's Eve) and purchased the mug. I do not want to try to get away with anything, and I do not think the mugs are that expense, but how would they know if you purchased the mug on your current cruise or of you brought it with you from a previous cruise? How often do the mugs change?

According to her the mugs were purchased in december 2001? I told her to cancel the auction, stating the mugs were not useable on the ship. I hope she can do this.

Your friend CAN cancel the auction, and report to ebay 'item description fraud' --- this way she will not receive a bad rep for backing out on an auction.
