One More Question: Wine Package

Can someone tell me about the wine package on a 7 night cruise? I saw the cost (somewhere) but not specifics, like what wines, when you get the wines (ie, with dinner, in your stateroom, etc.). If the wine comes with dinner, will they recork if we don't finish it at dinner so we can take it back to the stateroom? If we find we are overwhelmed with wine, can we keep unopened bottles and bring them home? We are occasional wine drinkers, so I am not if 7 bottles in 7 days will send us over the edge. Not to mention that I am sure to want a beer or 3 during the trip as well.

We had this package on our last trip and really enjoyed it. Wine is typically served with dinner (you choose from a list of many options). If you do not finish the bottle over dinner you can have it recorked and brought back out the next day, or recorked and take it with you to the sateroom (your stateroom host will gladly bring you a corkscrew and wine glasses). At that point you can pour yourself a drink to take to a show, or carry a drink into lunch with you the next day, etc. You can bring extra (unopened) bottles off the ship with you (but you are still limited to U.S. cutoms allowences).

I don't remember the exact cost but it is great to have this arranged. DH & I really enjoy wine at dinner while vacationing and love the freedom of being able to take an unfinished bottle back to our cabin and finish it on the balcony. We have also have left 2 opened bottles in the dining room if one night he wants red & I want white and just enjoy them the following evening.

What if we're having dinner at Palo's one night? Will they transfer the wine package up there, or if we have a half-drunken bottle from the night before, will they send that over?

If you are having dinner at Palo they will transfer any unopened bottles to Palo or you can have a new bottle from your package.
