One more borrowing question

Thanks to those who have answered my banking and borrowing questions. I think this is it.

I have 160 current year points. I borrow 100 to make a reservation that requires 260 points for a 2 BR.

I subsequently decide that I don't need a 2 BR, but a 1 BR is fine. It's available and I change the reservation, and now I'm only using 200 points. I understand that the 100 points I borrowed have to stay borrowed, and that was a final transaction.

My question is about apportionment of the 200 points that now makes my reservation. Can I specify that I want to use 100 of the borrowed points and 100 of the current year points. The key is I want to make sure that the 60 points left over are current use year points, and thus can be banked if I want. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Yes, tell them to use 100 and 100 and free up the rest of the current year points.

They can be banked as long as you haven't gone past the banking deadline.

The OP also needs to make sure the change to the 1 bedroom was done at least 31 days prior to arrival.

If the change is made 30 days or less prior to arrival, the returned points go into the holding account. Those cannot be banked and expire at the end of the use year. There are also booking restrictions associated with holding account points.
