Guess Who's Joining Us!!!​

When we started planning this trip we knew we wanted Meema and Peepa to join us.

The one on the left is my dad, Garry, but the kids call him Peepa and sometimes Peeps (although he doesn't care for it all that much). He gifted all his children (and his two grandchildren) with a 6 day trip 4 year ago. That's when the extreme excitement (dare I say obsession) with Disney started for me. He loves the Disney magic as much if not more than we do. He takes the time to sit for the parades and call me crazy, but I think he feels like a kid when he is there! He once pushed my mom in a wheelchair all over Disney for a week following a serious surgery she had 2 weeks earlier. Dedicated? Oh yes he is!

The one on the right is my mom, Donna, but the kids call her Meema and sometimes the Meems (she doesn't mind that at all). She is a selfless go-with-the-flow Disney-er. I have definite ideas of plans and she willingly goes along with them. She came along with the kids and I on our trip in 2008 and again with my dad in 2009...what a trooper! She ends up carrying most of the essentials and is ALWAYS good for an anti-bacterial wet wipe! She spends most of her time at Disney trying to walk hunched over whilst listening to what Pal Mickey has to say. Not because she wants to, but because Michael needs her too. It is quite an obsession with him. I don't fully appreciate how hard it is to walk like that until she is gone and I become official listener to Pal Mickey with Michael.

I had been in contact with my them regarding our plans and they weren't ready to commit until I called with the good news that Free Dining had been released! They have never stayed on-site and were intrigued with FD. It was enough of a push and I am excited that they will be with us for the last 5 days of the trip!

They too plan to stay at POP and we are so excited!

Ok, those who are squeamish should look away, hide your children, and do not scroll down if you can't handle injuries:

























































Ok, so it wasn't that bad. We spent a good part of the day with good friends trying to beautify my yard by ripping out bushes, planting new ones, making distinct flower beds, and laying down mulch. It was lovely! I thought I would try to squeeze in hedging one or two more bushes after they left. Big mistake.

The hedger and I had a fight. It won, but I kept all of my fingers so that is a very, very good thing! They were able to glue 4 places together and the two very deep spots were stitched as best as possible.

I can't bend my fingers or use my hand for 10 days so the boys have to go into respite I miss them already.

The electric hedger is designed to lop off branches a little bit bigger than my fingers, so today I am very thankful I have all 10 fingers!

I got to spend 5 hours with the babies today!!! They happen to be staying with some of my closest friends who are also foster parents. It makes this a bit easier.
