One happyhaunt, Two happyhaunt, Red happyhaunt, Blue happyhaunt!(newer, pg 31.)

Can't a girl digest a West Indies salad in peace around here?

It's not enough that I have to visualize Tommy crawling around on the grimy bathroom floor but then I get slammed in the face with the Pepsi One Puke dribble on the chin image as well.

Dude. So nasty.

Moving on.

This was uttered at such a fiercely high squeak-tone that three mirrors shattered simultaneously.

In Denver. Colorado.

DED.

Straight to the most amazing of rides... the one that MUST be ridden every trip. The ride that practically SCREAMS... MNSSHP. To the masses of fancied-up guests. Ghosts. And ghouls.

It's the ONE... MUST-DO...ride at Mickey's Hallowe'en Bash.

Except for us. The happyhaunts.

We skipped it.

NUMB.

And I've called "Olly Olly Oxen Free!". When no one was caught yet.

BORG.

Okay, not really. Cause I don't know what that means.

Mel. I was DED at this one. And more than just a little grossed out. Speaking of which: Was it your friend's mole? Please tell me you didn't post a picture of your friend's mole here. You did, didn't you? With friends like you, who needs enemies?

Loved it Melly! Keep it comin' chick!

Thank goodness I did not read this when it was a cliffhanger. Somehow missed the last chapter, and did not have to wait anxiously to find out if Tommy was still stuck in a bathroom at the Magic Kingdom. His borgtwinsisterPiper was in the airplane bathroom for the LONGest time. Sadly.

Mel, this was stinkin' funny. And not because of the bathroom floor.

oh melly, melly.....these installments are keeping smelly.....with Tommy crawlin on his belly......then you're talking on the telly.....post some pics of the camo fellie - NOmole person.......my butt-check woulda been shakin like jelly.....laughed so hard my eyes got welly.....but this rhymin is making my brain feel all swelly.

10% :rotfl: tithes

long time fan of your trip reports and thought of you today as i bought yet another bathing suit ( is there actually bathing suits addicts? )-i cannot get enough suits, it is a weird addiction, i do not even have the perfect suit figure although i do like the tankini type, j crew card is on its way to its limit. and just bought another at lands end today for 11.00 on clearance, i need help.
have you been shopping lately?

Then Tommy hauled himself under the door. Belly down and face first. Yes. The Lazy Man's Limbo. Wearing his t-shirt and boxer shorts. And sandals.

:scared1: Not even if Tommy jumped into a giant VAT of Purell would this statement put me at ease! Blech! Think of all the different, exotic types of... ew! Nevermind!!!

We skipped it.

Never, ever woulda seen it coming. (except for the fact that I've read all your trippies and know that short of chaining Tommy to a tree, or handing him over to a random person for safekeeping, there was no way you'd make it to HM!)

Great installment Mel! :thumbsup2

:scared:
Not even if Tommy jumped into a giant VAT of Purell would this statement put me at ease!

Not to hijack this fine piece of literature that Melly calls a trip(e) report, but check out this article:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/31/AR2007013102151.html

The 49-year-old Maryland inmate seemed seriously sick after he drank from a gallon-container of hand sanitizer. Described as "loony," "red-eyed" and "combative," he was whisked by officials to a nearby Baltimore hospital for treatment.

But they quickly discovered he wasn't ill -- just very, very drunk on Purell.

Purell, which is 70 percent alcohol, is far more potent than conventional drinks such as beer (5 percent), wine (12 percent) or liquor (40 percent).

Before you throw Tommy in there, you may want to remember that scene from Dumbo where Dumbo got blitzed.

Hmmm... Next time I read a gross-out trippie (thanks Mel & ZZUB) I may have to keep this in mind! Sure is cheaper than a Lapu Lapu!! :thumbsup2

Called "Frontierland".

Again.

Tommy and I rode BTMRR.

And it was just as fun as before.

And before that.

And before THAT.

Again.

Then it was off to Splash Mountain.

Which was a little different this time.

B/c our picture was NOT washed away.

We purchased it for The General. As usual.

So she could see us dressed up in our Hallowe'en finery. Holding tight to our hats.

Faces totally obscurred.

Totally worth the $20.00.

Then it hit us.

The tiredness. The EXTREME tiredness. Our late arrival night was catching up with both of us. Quickly.

And so we wandered slowly back through Frontierland and out to the front of the castle.

I plunked my pirate booty down on a bench.

And checked out the WAY COOL Hallowe'en effects happening:

47b6ce30b3127cce8dffe083dc1900000016100BZt2LRu2ZsR

While Tommy made himself a friend:

He must have talked with the nice CM guy for at least 10 minutes straight.

The CM was truly pleasant. And appeared interested in everything Tommy was telling him.

And, obviously, he understood Canadian Littleboy Squeak. Language.

It was nice.

And YES... I said it twice.

It was THAT nice.

But, again, it may have been just "one of those days". Or nights. You know? The good ones. In life.

Because we made a few other friends right there. In front of the Castle. In the pump fake fog and gloom.

This other family wandered up and sat down beside us to drink in the evening. And its MAGIC.

A mom. A dad. And about four kids. All in a double stroller.

We started chatting and, immediately, hit it off.

We had nothing in common.

We weren't from where they were.

They weren't from where we are.

They were nicely tanned, fit and attractive.

We were...well errrrr... happyhaunts.

They were 1/3 costumed out.

Our rides were fully pimped.

And, yet, we found many connections. As we talked.

We shared a love of Disney, family and humour.

And talked about Disney for a good 45 minutes. At least.

I guess nobody was in a rush to go anywhere.

Or else they were just as tired as we. Who knows?

I guess it was just one of those nights. Maybe.

Or else... it was the place. And time.

A place where people from all over the world are happy and willing to share their vacation stories. And themselves. Talking to people they may never meet again. Finding ease and warmth in the comfort of strangers.

It was a little magical.

And... I may have even hugged the mom as we split up and went our separate ways.

Or did I?

You decide.

And remember... I'm a freakin' PIRATE!!!!

Afterall.

Yep.

It was all an act so that I could steal her wallet. And rub her the wrong way.

Heh heh.

Of course I'M KIDDING!!!!

I only steal busses. From my three kids.

Of course I mean "kisses". The "busses" is just a quick way to grind ZZUB. About his spelling. But... it's also an old-fashioned term for "kisses".

Ask The General.

Of course I'd rather be run over by an actual BUS... then "bussed" on by my beloved despised mother. NOTheGeneral.

Ok... enough of this crap.

It's starting to drag on like the newest Pirates of The Caribbean movie. NOJDepp.

We said goodbye to our Disney friends. And headed back to Frontierland.

Like we have ANY control over THAT?!!!

To grab a good spot for the parade.

Our friends had mentioned that the perfect spot was just beside the wooden bridgey thing. In Liberty Square. So that you can get the full effect of the Headless Horseman's Ride. As the gigantic beautiful horse thunders over the wooden walk.

They were right.

It was FANTASTIC!!!!

And I didn't even try to take a picture. I wanted to drink it all in. Feel the sound of the horse in my chest.

And file that moment. Permanently. In my mind.

The parade was excellent.

This was particularily cool:

47b6ce30b3127cce8dffe4eddc7500000016100BZt2LRu2ZsR

As was this:

47b6ce30b3127cce8dfffa04dc9300000016100BZt2LRu2ZsR

And this:

47b6ce30b3127cce8dfffbe89ce700000016100BZt2LRu2ZsR

Ok.

Maybe not the last one.

But Tommy liked the dancing Cowboy gals.

And, also, seeing his grandmother.

47b6ce30b3127cce8dfffe175db200000016100BZt2LRu2ZsR

When the parade ended we headed back to Main Street for the fireworks.

Which were ALSO fantastic.

Probably the best show we'd seen YET... at Disney.

It blew us away.

And when it was over we I realized we were SO tired.

That we had to head out. Before Tommy actually fell asleep standing up.

Or had to carry Me(l).

We caught the monorail.

It was empty and quiet.

Then we caught the tram back to our parking spot.

I asked Tommy what his favourite part of the day had been.

He said, "I like the Monorail rides, Mommy!".

Per-FECT!

Coulda done THAT all day and saved a few bucks on a MK ticket and MNSSHP wristband.

But... he also said... as our tram pulled to a stop, "Mommy. This is the BEST day of MY LIFE!!!".

I smiled.

B/c I totally believed him.

And, while we happyhaunts had some ups and downs. This particular day. It ended up being rather magical.

And, if it wasn't THE BEST day. Of my life.

It was certainly up there!

We walked through the empty lot to our rental car. Got in and belted up.

As I drove through the gates... heading for our new hotel called Old Key West... I glanced back at Tommy.

He was already slumped over. Sound asleep.

And I thought I could hear his heartbeat for a thousand miles...

He gives me love, love, love
Crazy love

Cheers, Mel.

:3dglasses

Welcome to America, Mel. We spell things differently here. Perhaps you've noticed the correct spelling of humor, neighbor and favor. Or not. Since you apparently speak of yourself as both we and I in the same sentence.

Compliments of the WP Dictionary: bus >noun (pl. buses; US also busses)(emphasis added).

And talked about Disney for a good 45 minutes. At least.I guess nobody was in a rush to go anywhere.
Or perhaps you glued them to the bench. That's the most likely reason someone, anyone, spent 45 mintues listening to you. I have a hard time believing anyone else got a word in.

"Mommy. This is the BEST day of MY LIFE!!!"
That's sweet of course. Yada, yada, blah. The thing I'm choking on is this: THIS IS STILL ONLY YOUR FIRST DAY! Help me, Rhonda! No one can drag out a Trip Report longer than me, just ask MontanaDisney, but I'm afraid this report will continue on until the cows come home. NORosieO'Donnell.

Seriously, I think it's cool you took your son to Disney for some one on one time. Pity it couldn't have been with his stable, lucid, sober parent, but still, it's a nice gesture. I reckon it's a memory he'll have for a lifetime.

For all the crap we give you, most of which you fully deserve, you're alright, Mel HappyHat. I've choked on the words before and I'll choke on them again: you're good people.

Now I must go throw myself off the roof.

:moped:

Loooved it!

I haven't seen the Halloween party extravaganza.

Can't wait till this Sept.

Thanks for sharing!

I was alright until the end when you made me CRY!
The best trip report.

wowwwy... what an ending to that chapter.... really mushy smushy mommy like!!! Loved it!

Me(l): "Thanks. Now take your clothes off."
Tommy: "Huh?"
Me(l): "Listen, Tommy, one of us is goin' under that door. And it's not the pirate. So... you're gonna hand your vest and chaps out to me just like your hat. Then you're gonna crawl under. Capish?".
Tommy: "MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!"

This was uttered at such a fiercely high squeak-tone that three mirrors shattered simultaneously.

In Denver. Colorado.

I was wondering why mirrors were shattering that day :lmao:

Tommy is adorable.

But what I want to know is this, did you ever see your 'Bama friends again?

Mel!

This was a really sweet chapter. I think it would be so fun to take a one-on-one trip with each of your kids. They will always remember it. Probably as one of their best memories EVER.

And what you said about the family you met is so true.

It's easy to connect with someone so different when you have some important things that are the same. Not only is it easy, it's a ton of fun.

Thanks for another great installment, Mel. Keep bringin' it. And you might wanna hurry...cause you've got lots left to write!!

NM :goodvibes

Mel!!! This was hilarious!!! What a sweet chapter girlfriend! Well actually the last two chapters were FOF. You know I almost went last September with just big Frick and JoMomma kept saying, in a panicked voice, don't leave him alone while you ride the rides. Bless her. Anyhow, I love hearing about your trip with your sweet little guy! You are a good Mommy Mel!

I should delete this paragraph out, it is a TGM secret, but since I am no longer a subscriber and my subscription ran out-you just gave away a #1 secret where to view any parade. (Did this just sound mean-I don't mean it to be. I'm sure a ton of people just copied and pasted this into their itinerary).

The gay cowboys were my favorite part of the parade too! :rotfl2:
What the heck were they even doing there?
The haunted mansion people were really my favorite. I want one of those shovels and a ghostly ballroom dancer.
And it's a little insulting to Ursula to compare her to your mother.
Ha.
I feel so weird writing that - I get so uncomfortable watching you make fun of your mother - I'm DEFINITELY uncomfortable making fun of your mother.
But I couldn't resist.
