When visiting my Dad in Sarasota in Jan my sister and I are planning a one day bomb over to Disney trip. With one day I figure EPCOT is a good place to go- so much to do and see.

I tried to book LC for dinner and it is completely booked. I got a 130 lunch there.

That leaves morning food and something for later.

We probably will be in Future World in the morning- is there somewhere to go for coffee/pastry/not-standard-fast food breakfast items? I know once France and etc opens there should be places to go but don't know what time we will be ready to go over, and dont' want to fill up to close to our late lunch. Could try and make lunch early and then an early big dinner but...

Also then dinner---with such a big late lunch I doubt we can do a big dinner- we will probably be driving back to Sarasota that evening. I thought maybe Wolfgang Puck sandwich place or Earl? Everything at EPCOT for dinner would be too much...

Thoughts???

If I only had one day at EPCOT, I would do a nice sit down for lunch say 11'ish and at a place like LeCellier, but I would also do a TS for a nice dinner by 5 or 6'ish or whatever is good for you. That way you got time in between to walk to FW and excercise the the lunch off before sitting down for a nice dinner. As far as where for dinner, I would think of Marrakkesh, Coral Reef or San Angel. Have fun deciding. popcorn::

great social interaction and a "show" by the cook.

Can't wait for our meal there in March!

Foutainview cafe has yummy pastries, croissants and coffee as does Sunshine Seasons in The Land.

If I were traveling back the same evening I would have big lunch at Le Cellier or Les Chef des France and then go to one of the many counter service ethnic restaurants for dinner. Mexico would be a good choice.

I too would say Mexico and be there about a half hour or 45 minutes before they shut down......ORRRRRRRR Earl of Sandwich in DTD.....I love that place too......

I would say do the lunch at lc and then the rest of the time just snack and if you guys split the snacks you will be able to try everything around world showcase.

Another thought for an early breakfast other than what was mentioned is to stroll through to the international gateway and have fresh croissants or other baked goodies with fresh coffee at the BW bakery.

How long of a walk is that? With a non hopper ticket, we can come back into EPCOT with no problem, right?

You won't be going to another park so you don't need a hopper to leave EPCOT through the IG to the Boardwalk and then come back.As far as the walk,it's pretty short 5-10 minutes max.

If they have the space, you could tell the guard at the Boardwalk that you would like to have breakfast at the bakery. They could give you a "two hour pass" to park, have breakfast and then drive to the EPCOT parking lot. The temptation to leave the car there is great and walk over to EPCOT but you shouldn't as parking there is very limited and not fair to those guests actually staying at the resort. The reason I mention this is that you won't be able to get to the BW through the IG if plan on eating before the rope drop. The rope drop is normally the most productive time to get certain rides or FP's done.

I really like Sunshine Seasons for both breakfast and lunch/dinner items. We spent a lot of time at Epcot last month and ate there pretty often. Good quality, quick service, lots of seating.

For a quick, lighter breakfast, I usually got a chocolate chip muffin ("to die for!", they're so good!) at Sunshine Seasons. For lunch or dinner, I got the rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, and carrots - great quick food, but not your typical "fast food" burgers and hot dogs. They have an excellent Caesar salad, too.

If I only had one day at Epcot, I don't think I'd spend the time to get to DTD for dinner (you meantioned Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck's). If you don't plan to shop at DTD, too, it's probably not worth the time to go there just for a meal, with so many good option at Epcot.

BTW, I had the prime rib sandwich for lunch at Le Cellier last month and it was fabulous!

We like walking around the World Showcase in the evenings and sampling the different CS places. We share so that we can try lots of different things.

We just got back and I don't believe that Fountainview was doing pastries any more.. it looked like just ice cream now. We just stuck our heads in the door to look at the menu but didn't try anything.

Ok. Yeah- it's been a while since I stopped by there- last December in fact. I'll never forget because my dsis was so obsessed with finding the perfect breakfast that we missed getting to ride Soarin'. They did have some yummy looking pastries so it's hard to blame her. Oh well- Dh and I saw very similar items at Sunshine Seasons this past October.
