One day ECV Rental

My family (myself, DW, 2DDs) will be going to WDW 3/4-6. My MIL is joining us for just one day to do EC and the Flower & Garden Festival. She's got bad hips and is obese, so the only way she can do the park is with an ECV. Most of the off-site rentals require multiple days. If we're getting to the park at open, is there any doubt that I'd be able to get an ECV? I'd never live it down with my wife and MIL if anything went wrong.

I apologize if I've missed something, but I tried searching and the FAQ, but didn't see an answer. Should I just go with someone with a 2 day minimum to have a guaranteed scooter? We'll be driving, so driving to the HC parking spots at the park is doable (though we'd happily take Disney Transit).

I think if you are there at rope drop you should have no problem getting a ECV. The only reason I would rent a two day from an outside company is if the 2 days cost less than a 1 day at Disney, and I doubt that is the case.

No, it's about $25-$30 more to do a 2-day from off site. The only reason I'd do it would be to guarantee that I had an ECV, which is why I was asking.

You should be pretty safe getting there at rope drop, but a lot would depend on which day you are going. There will be more people on weekends because a lot of local people come ( some may have their own ECVs, but some could choose to rent). The first week and the last week may be busiest.

If you need to be absolutely sure and want peace of mind, I would go with a 2 day outside rental and look at the extra cost like insurance - money you paid out and may never need.
