Hello!

My husband and I are planning our first family trip to WDW in December 2020, and are contemplating going to Universal for a day. We will be taking our almost 3yo, and will probably have an almost 1yo at that time. Honestly, our focus would be Harry Potter world due to me being obsessed, and our family being a little young for any rides. My question to you is, is it worth it to go for one day?

Thanks!

We were thinking of that too, But Universal has put Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley in two different parks, so if you want to ride the train, its $169 ea adult plus tax. but $114 for 1 park 1 day. So depending on how many people in your party, is it worth it? For us (5 adults), $1,000 for 2 parks, 1 day was not worth it.

Universal is amazing, but as the previous poster said you would want the two park ticket so you could do both areas of Harry Potter. The little ones would enjoy the Dr Seuss area in IOA and the kidzone at Studios, but apart from that there isn’t much for them. If this is a one time only trip to Orlando, I’d say definitely do it but if you plan to go again in the future it would probably be better to wait until your kids can go on more rides.

We love the Dr. Suess area at Christmas. The "whos" that are walking around are so much fun. We also have a little one who thinks the princesses at WDW look weird but LOVES the Grinch. I must admit the Grinch was awesome. I don't think there is a lot for little ones but we managed to spend an entire day and could have stayed longer. Our 12 year old was so excited to see the Scooby Gang and as much as I don't want to admit Sponge Bob was cool. If your a Harry Potter fan this is the place for you.

Thank you everyone! I think I've decided to wait a few years until our babies are older.

I've just booked us (my husband & I) a one nigh, 1 day/2 park ticket pkg @ Universal at the beginning of a WDW trip to satisfy an obligation we made to go with other family members.
We LOVE Harry Potter - we don't love roller coasters/big rides. We are only going for the HP stuff - and no, what we are paying does not seem worth it. Wouldn't bother doing it if we hadn't already agreed to.

I think it's so worth it.... my kids loved seeing minions , curious george dr suess they knew so much. We did the park to park so we could see both sides of harry potter. It's really great if you are a harry potter fan it's like you are really there.
