Ok let me give you a little history and an idea of what we want to accomplish before you tell me I am crazy:rotfl: We have only been to Universal/IOA once and it was back in 2007. We had a horrible time because we went at the end of a 10 day commando disney trip and didn't have a plan, DH was crabby etc. Anyway we are attempting another visit to the darkside this trip on day 5 of our trip. I bought the 2 park 1 day with transfer tickets from dreams unlimited. This trip will be different for us in alot of ways but exp since I have MS now and will be in an ECV most of the time, I can walk of course but we feel the ecv is the best option for all the walking since I have fatigue and balance issues.

Anyway here is what we would like to be able to do. I need your help to tell me what order. By the way we plan to arrive way before opening.

Must Do's

Coasters, Rip ride, hulk, what was dragons etc,
mummy, spiderman etc, the drop ride

Not Harry Potter fans but would like to ride FJ, I am concerned about not making it though as I am 5ft 6 and about 265.

We also plan on having lunch/dinner at Margarittaville

If time allows we will check out whatever shows etc.

We do plan to stay till close and have plans that if need be the kids can take off on their own if I slow them down to much.

Ok so lets here it where should we be first, etc.

First question...when are you going? A lot will depend on park hours when you're here.

Oh yea sorry bout that Wed July 25th. and there is no way I am spending another $300 bucks for express passes.

Well...it's going to be crowded and hot so make sure your group stays hydrated.

Since you're both parks, get there early and start at Marvel Super Hero Island. Lots of people will be heading for HP which should keep the lines down for the rest of the park. Once you've done the rides you want, head over to HP and use the single rider line for FJ and then head to Dragon Challenge...formally Dueling Dragons. There is no single line at DC so you'll have to play it by ear.

Once you've finished IOA, head over to the Studios. Depending on the time, you might want to stop for a late lunch at Margaritaville. If you eat at off peak times, the wait shouldn't be too bad.

The Rockit and Despicable Me will have the longest lines so you might want to do those first. Then work your way around from Revenge of the Mummy.

Take advantage of single rider lines where applicable to cut down on waits.

We were at US/IOA and did one day-2 parks during our May vacation (right after Memorial Day). We arrived early and they let us in about 20 minutes earlier than posted. We went straight to the Harry Potter area and right to Forbidden Journey and luckily waited only about 30 minutes. They have test seats outside so that you can see if you fit correctly. I was nervous about myself too after reading different posts but I think it matters how you carry your weight. We then walked back and did the Spiderman ride and my family (not me!) rode the Hulk. Next we walked back to the Jurrassic Park ride, and afterwards grabbed an early lunch at the restaurant there. Didn't do the two "water" rides because it was raining most of the day. We walked back to the Harry Potter area and did more sight seeing and bought some souvenirs and Butter Beer. By then it was around noon and we walked down to US. The first ride we did was the Mummy and luckily, we pretty much walked on. We then went to Men in Black where we had a thirty minute wait. Next we walked right in to Twister and then to ET where we again had a 30 minute wait. By this time we only had enough time for one more ride because of a 4:30 dinner reservation at Mythos...we've decided that we won't plan another dinner res when we do 2 parks because it takes away too much time!...so my DH and I went to Shrek and our 2 sons and their friends went on the Rip roller coaster. Walked back to IOA and after dinner we walked around the HP area and finshed by having dessert/coffees in the downtown area while the kids rode the HP rollercoaster and Hulk again. We did do a LOT of criss-crossing but found that that was the only way to accomplish what we did. Unfortunately it did rain a lot but this did thin out the crowds so that was good. Have a great time and enjoy!

are there any good sites you recommend for maps, hours, disability information etc.
