ONE BRIDE'S DREAM. Carol & Iain's wedding 5/8/08 SBP, Chefs Domaine, wishes. COMPLETE

29apr00- thank you. I think the girls are cute, but then I'm slightly biased:)

DigitalLove - It's funny that we both chose Chef's domaine and then had the Grand 1, I was so pleased with our choices, except the stress of booking them both at the 180 + 10 and 90 day mark! Yes, I agree Melissa is wonderful. Her emails were so friendly in the planning stages and I was so pleased we managed to meet her when we took our box of favors over to the GF as she wasn't there on our actual wedding day. We still need to email the powers that be at Disney and feedback how she went that extra mile to ensure everything was perfect for us.

princessdisneybelle - Laura, Hiya! It was great meeting up with you and your lovely Mum, not once but twice if you count our bumping into each other in Starlight Rays. What were the chances of that! I have been meaning to pm you to thank you again for the gifts you gave out at our DIS meet. You are the best:hug: You know your PJ was the one to inspire me to make most of the things I made!

On with the wedding day...................
All of the following Photos are Randy's. This man is wonderfully talented, he is a genuine nice guy and it's easy to relax in his company, which then makes for great photos. I don't like myself in photos most of the time, but there are so many of Randy's shots that I would consider "good of me" it will be very very hard to choose which ones to get enlarged.

Heres Randy's photos of Iain and co on the way to SBP via the ESPN! As I said before, Iain was determined to get a pre wedding drink at his number one bar, but when they got there, after Karen set them all up with their bonbonieres, it was not even open!, not only that, but there was a queue outside. His Dad said there was no way they would pull it off, but when the doors opened at 11.30 everyone else headed for the tables to eat and Iain headed to the bar!

Now Karen had told me to stick to the vertical slats running down the middle of the Boardwalk as the gaps in between these boards were smaller and I was less likely to get my heel trapped. Did I listen?:bitelip: no, I chatted and laughed and said thank you to Random people saying congratulations and veered off the path...........

:rotfl2: it would have made a great camcorder moment!
and before I knew it we were at Sea Breeze Point.

Your wedding pictures are lovely, I love your dress. I was petrified that I would get my heel stuck in the boardwalk.

Your dress is so pretty! I love the back, and the little ladies are too cute! :cutie:

Your gents look quite handsome! I can't wait to see the wedding party all together!

:surfweb:

accountingbabe08 and DisneyFairy19 - thank you!

Ticky Toria 78 - Thank you, I ended up loving my dress too, but it was a close call, perhaps it was because as I was still losing weight, I kept trying it on and it wouldn't even zip up! So I had no real way of knowing what it would look like once it did fit, I just had faith that it would!!!!

Mama of Indybride - Many thanks , I promise more photos of all of us are on their way...

When I got to SBP, Reverend Jack was there to greet me and he had Iains Dad ready to escort me down the aisle. He had Iain positioned so he couldn't see me and he had been told not to turn round!

First it was Mel and Ellen's turn

[/IMG]

Then Maddie's turn. I was really proud of her walking down the aisle on her own, and she did a great job of throwing the petals. You can see how seriously she took her job!

Then the violinist started playing "here comes the bride" and it was my turn

and still Iain didn't turn round!

The ceremony was just as we wanted, Reverend Jack was a great choice.

and every so often Maddie would wander by, still throwing her petals:)

Heres our sand ceremony. We chose orange and burgundy sand to match our general theme. Karen packed the vase well with paper and it made it all the way home in our case, but the sand is now VERY well mixed!

The toast, the cake and the first dance ( we chose "don't want to miss a thing" and "better together" - but to be honest they were hard to make out on the violin, not that it really mattered! )

Thank you - Maddie had SUCH a good time! I know we did things in the wrong order really, but just think, if we had gotten married before we had her, she would have missed one of the best days of her life:)
Yes, Iain did get his drink, though I think it had to go down rather quick!:rotfl:

You looked beautiful!!! Your daughter is also a beauty. What a lovely family. Can't wait so see some more photos!

Everything looks absolutely perfect! Maddie was such a cutie and she obviously did a fabulous job spreading those petals. I LOVE the picture of you and Iain walking through the petals. The smile on your face is priceless! :lovestruc

thank you for your kind words! I promise some more photos as soon as I've uploaded some - after all I have got around 1400 photos from Randy to choose from! and we still have another disk on it's way to us taken at Citrico's. Randy did such a good job getting our album finished 6 days after the wedding so we could collect them from his shop on our way over to Vero Beach, he forgot one of the disks so it's being posted over to us. I can't wait to see it!

Thanks Keenercam, there are many photos in which we have silly smiles on our faces, which just to show what a happy day it was:lovestruc I just LOVE Randy's photos!

I love your photos so far; the reflection one on the boardwalk is fantastic and the shot with the petals is so cute, you can tell you were having such a great time. You can tell that your daughter really took her job seriously, she was so good that day :)

I probably would have gotten my heel stuck too, so I completely understand; I get distracted easily too :goodvibes

 I just noticed that disney is spelled wrong on this!

Oh wow! You wouldn't believe how closely I looked at everything to make sure they were just so. Next time I'll hire a proof reader:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
No one mentioned the error, perhaps they were just being polite:) ( or maybe I got away with it......)

Thank you - Randy took a lot of reflection shots that were all good, it was hard to choose just one to post and yes, I love the petals shot too, though MOH had a punnet of paper confetti too which also got thrown. I'm not sure we were surposed to have done that but Karen our co-ordinator said nothing and it made for some good photos!
You know, I was so proud of Maddie, she was so well behaved all day even though she was excited - normally that means a Maddie meltdown :furious:

I'm sure you got away with it!! :smokin:

I probably wouldn't have seen it (actually, my first time through your tr I didn't see it), but I'm an editor, so it sort of caught my eye. No worries, everything turned out great!! :goodvibes

Thanks Alissa, anyhow the photo is a real closeup, the actual label was quite small, so perhaps thats how I got away with it!

Anyhow on with the report...........

Here's another cake shot. We chose yellow cake with white chocolate mousse filling for the bottom tier and chocolate cake with chocolate mousse for the top tier. We were very specific that they didn't mix the 2 tiers up as there was NO WAY we wanted the three little ones eating chocolate cake in their wedding outfits

[/IMG]

Here's one of the few what I would consider "formal" shots. In my email to Randy prior to the wedding I asked for:
- some of Magimus' famous BW shots
- plenty of candid shots of everyone, as all the wedding party were important
- some soft focus shots of me to hide the fact that Im 45!
view.php
[/IMG]

Then Randy took us off for some shots of just the two of us.

THIS IS MY ONE PIECE OF VERY IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES
*** DON'T FORGET YOUR SUNSCREEN ! ***
Seriously, this is the one thing I forgot about when I was getting ready. We were out in the sun taking photos for at least 1 1/2 hours after the service, and that doesn't include getting to SBP. I didn't feel as if I was burning at the time, but when I get around to posting my firework photos you will see just how "pink" the tops of my arms were.

These ones are on the bridge between BWV and BCV, the one you pass if you are heading to the international gateway

[/IMG]
view.php
[/IMG]

Then we went on the beach at BCV. Iain did find these shots hard, as he had chosen to wear plain lenses so his eyes weren't behind sunglasses in our photos, but found it hard not to squint because of the brightness.

And then we headed back to SBP, where everyone else was waiting, and headed back towards BWV. We got lots more shots of just us, but also some good ones of everyone.

I love these next shots. I had thought about doing Surrey bike shots right from the beginning of my plans as I think they sum up the atmosphere of the Boardwalk perfectly. While browsing a card shop back at home, I'd spotted the mock Numberplate and had to have it just in case. I had no idea if the Surrey bike people would let us do this or not, or even if they would be open for buisness at midday, as I know the Boardwalk really comes into it's own at night. Anyhow, Randy thought it was a great idea and he said noone had ever asked him to do these shots before, so I think he had fun with them. He sorted it out with the guys on the surrey bike stand and they held onto the numberplate for us during the ceremony. For everyone's information, they open for buisness at something like 10am, so even 10am brides could do this if they wanted to ( or perhaps we're the only ones silly enough to want to do this! ) We wasn't even charged anything for the "rental" - probably because we didn't actually go anywhere!

Then we headed to the front of the resort for a couple of classic Randy shots. ( and Randy actually printed these two off for us and brought them with him when we met up at Citrico's later, which was really cool )

but on the way through the lobby entrance, we just had to have one taken on my fave seat. Randy said it was a bit weird and made us look like little kids, and that made us laugh, so this is probably the most natural shot of the day!

Next up: afternoon reprieve

Oh my gosh - you look gorgeous! :goodvibes And I love DH's orange shirt - very dapper. Also, if I may love one more thing, your bouquet is just beautiful. Was that a special request or a standard one?
