I have never been to DL or DCA before, but have been to WDW many times. We've planning on 2 days, one for each park next July.

My question is if you could only have One Breakfast, One Dinner, and One Must Eat Item, at Disneyland [including both parks, DTD, and the resorts], what would they be?

My breakfast choice would be probably be at Goofy's as I love the food choices. As far dinner is concerned, I would not mind hitting up Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans.

My one, must eat item might have to be a turkey leg, as I did not get to have one on my last trip.

Breakfast = Beignets at Cafe Orleans (although technically you can order them any time of the day)
Lunch = Soup & Sandwich at Carnation Cafe
Must Eat = Tigger Tail (me), Chocolate Covered Strawberry (ds), Caramel Apple (dh)

Breakfast - Goofy's Kitchen - huge selection of food and character interaction
Dinner - Carnation Cafe - loaded potato soup w/ 1/2 sandwich (choice from menu)

My one must eat item is: Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Sandwich.

Breakfast = Goofy's Kitchen
Dinner = Blue Bayou
Must Eat Item = :mickeybar

I agree with Goofy's Kitchen and Blue Bayou but for us a Churro is the must eat thing!

Breakfast - Mickey Pancakes at the Riverbelle Terrace
Dinner - Carnation Cafe (loaded baked potato soup) or Cafe Orleans (Monte Cristo)
Must Eat Item - Dole Whip!

Breakfast: Lilo & Stitch at PP
Dinner: Napa Rose
Must Have Snack: Corn Dog

Second choice for dinner: Cafe Orleans

Sorry, I can't help myself!

But if you have 2 days, let me give you an alternate menu. I would say get park hoppers so that way you can maximize your time. if you go to one park only a day, you lose Disney time as DCA opens later than DL and closes earlier.

Breakfast: Minnie and Friends at the plaza inn

snack: churro

Dinner: Fried Chicken Dinner at the plaza inn

Breakfast = Carnation Cafe (lots of great choices)

Dinner = Blue Bayou (surf and turf & creme brulee)

Must-have = Mickey truffle

Oooh, having just planned our trip:

Breakfast - Carnation Cafe (this is the ONLY place my DS wants to go for breakfast, every day :rotfl2:)

Dinner: Cafe Orleans - yummy gumbo, Monte Cristo, Pommes Frites - oh my!

Must have: Corn dogs, baby

Have fun!!

Breakfast - Storyteller's Cafe

Dinner - Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen

Snack - Nachos at White Water snacks (OK, this is bigger then a snack, but you can share :-) OR A Mickey Ice cream bar

Breakfast - Goofy's Kitchen - huge selection of food and character interaction
Dinner - Carnation Cafe - loaded potato soup w/ 1/2 sandwich (choice from menu)

I second this exactly! Must do item would be the Ultimate fries at Taste Pilots Grill :goodvibes

Yum, sounds good, I'll be there!!

Did you make a PS?

(This is assuming that you won't be back to Disneyland for a long, long time...ie: not the least expensive choices, but the most memorable!)

Breakfast- Goofy's Kitchen...such a huge selection of food, and plenty of great photo ops :thumbsup2

Dinner- Blue Bayou...there's no place like it, atmosphere wise pirate:

Must have food- Loaded Baked Potato Soup from Carnation Cafe'....seriously, this stuff is so good that I regularly make it at home; in fact, I'm cooking up a batch tomorrow

Honorable mention: you just *have to* get at least one of the candies that are prepared in-house at either Candy Palace on Main Stree or Pooh's Corner in Critter Country...

Breakfast - Ariel's Grotto (Because we have 2 young DD's and I'm guessing you don't want to spend time on a full sit down lunch. Otherwise, I would choose Goofy's Kitchen)
Dinner - Blue Bayou (though I prefer for lunch in order to get the Monte Cristo!)
Snack - Ralph Brennan's Classic New Orleans Beignets (Yum Buckets!)

I love those fries!!! Althought I haven't had them since they changed the from waffle cut. :sad2:

I was just about to say the same thing! I hope they're still just as good.

Here are my suggestions:

Breakfast: Carnation Cafe - the cinnamon roll french toast is SO yummy
Snack: the above mentioned Full Throttle Fries at Taste Pilot's Grill
Dinner: Wine Country Trattoria - the lasagna was really good
