He is growing like a weed, seems like every day he's gaining an oz or more!Tracy, what fantastic news about Emile! He's doing so very well and seems to be growing like a weed!
Christmas seems to have snuck up on me this year too. I didn't even get our Christmas decorations out until this past weekend which is unlike me.
Praying it's soon, but who knows really. Its the little steps that gets him closer and closer, though, like being over 5lbs.Oh, Tracy, I am so happy to hear that Emile will be going home soon! How wonderful!!
Judy, I am praying for you and Lisa to be feeling much better soon. May I suggest a pair of earplugs for Christmas and then you can sit and snuggle Lisa through endless hours of SpongeBob without going crazy? Bless your heart for giving her exactly what she needed when she was feeling yucky - time with her Mama!
My sweet SIL was taken to the ER yesterday AM and admitted immediately with double pneumonia. I talked to my BIL this morning and he sounds awful - he came down with the same virus she has yesterday (I saw him Monday after she got sick on Saturday and he was absolutely fine) and he went to the doctor this morning. So far his lungs are clear but he has an Rx for an antibiotic if he starts feeling worse. They are normally so healthy and only 52 and 62 so I am concerned that they both got so sick so quickly. BIL said even with the IV antibiotics since yesterday AM, my SIL is not feeling any better today and will be in the hospital for several days, at least. I am so torn because I want to go and see her to let her know we are thinking of her, but I don't want to expose any of us right now because we are supposed to go visit my 85-year-old Grandmother next week and I don't want to risk anybody getting sick. We mailed cards to SIL and I had flowers and a note delivered to her room - I hesitate to call her at the hospital because I know how hard it is to sleep when you are in there and with my luck, I'd wake her up from her first good nap in days. Seriously, these people are the salt of the earth; I am truly blessed in the in-law department with them!
I may or may not be able to catch up here the next couple of weeks, as we are planning to go visit my grandmother for Christmas and trying to leave on Saturday, so I will wish you all a wonderful, Merry Christmas and hope you are all well, blessed and happy!
Glad they will sleep. I'm had some pretty dramatic battles with my eldest niece at bed time and I'm glad I don't have to do it on Christmas eve.Tracy - Yes they will sleep. They may go to bed later than we'd like but once they are out they are out!! I'm so glad I don't have to go to the stores for any more Christmas shopping. Oh wait I take that back forgot I still have to go get White Elephant gifts for Christmas at my Aunt's house. But I know what I want to get so that will be easy to do. May do that on Friday when I go get the Turkey meal we'll be having on Saturday with my mother in law, step father in law, brother in law and sister in law. Kids can't wait to see their cousins!
I know how you feel, hope you get everything you need to done without too much stress!I was good to read rather cheery notes from everyone the last few days! I hope everyone that is ill continues to improve so that the holidays can be wonderful for all.
For everyone all finished with shopping and wrapping and cooking........feel free to come to my house![]()
My kitchen and living room looked like a bomb has exploded in it with shopping I did yesterday plus I am not unpacked from 10 days in Tennessee
I have stockings to do for ............heck, I don't know, I would have to count them on my fingers, and use my toes too but I think I am up to 17 now? Not including 2 for my friends in upstate NY! Old "Santa" Deborah has her work cut out for her just to sort the stuff and get it in bags (I gave up on real stockings, too hard to deal with, bags sit there open and ready to have things dropped in them while all lined up on the kitchen bar) Add into that the fact that I work 4 days out of the next 6 before Christmas, and after 12 hours at work the last thing I can think about is doing things around here
I am telling you, just hearing about Judy's days exhaust me, I don't know how she does it
Time for me to say goodnight and find a nice warm bed to collapse in![]()
Thanks, every step close to going home is good, even if he doesn't make it home for Christmas.Hi Tracy! YAY for Emile's progress!I am so happy that prayers have been answered and he is doing better. I have my Christmas shopping done, but there's still wrapping and baking and cleaning left...
I got some great news today! I got A's in all my classes this semesterIt was a lot of work but totally worth it.
Thanks. I talked to my sister today and see was a little down, because she doesn't think Emile will be released by Christmas. But I told her it is better safe than sorry and he is progressing in the right direction.Tracy, So good to hear about Emile's progress and pray that he continues to get to the point he gets to go home before Christmas so that you can be there to hold and cuddle him while visiting your sister and her family!
Thanks. My sister is worried that he won't be home for Christmas, but even if he isn't he is growing doing good, that is the important thing!Tracy: What great news about Emile. He will be the best little Christmas gift if he is able to make it home by then. All 5+ precious little pounds.![]()
Glad they will sleep. I'm had some pretty dramatic battles with my eldest niece at bed time and I'm glad I don't have to do it on Christmas eve.
It is good that all you have to get you know exactly what you need. Maybe you could do my shopping for me![]()
Cousins are fun! Hope you have a great Saturday turkey with the in laws!
Thanks!Tracy, s glad to heart that Emile will be going home soon.
Wow, good thing you had clothing with you!Tracy, tell your sister to have everything she needs to bring him home with her at every visit. I got to take Bonnie home because the doctor had just made his daily visit and cleared her. They didn't bother to call me and tell me. It was my "assigned" 15 minutes to look at her through the glass and the nurse said, "Oh too bad you don't have her clothes with you. She has been cleared to leave. Now you'll have to wait until tomorrow." Not---I had everything with me (I took them because I knew she was the weight they specified so I had them just in case--paid off!)
I love sleep, I wish I got more of it, I don't know why kids make such an issue out of it. But wearing them out is the best way to do it!!We have battles almost nightly here. Unless the kids had a very busy day then they go right to sleep Like today. No naps for my 3 year old and Sarah and I had a Leader/Daughter Celebrations for Girl Scouts tonight so she got worn out from that. I just plan on keeping them busy on Christmas Even so they go to sleep quicker.
Yeah it is nice to know exactly what I need to get so I don't spend any extra time in the stores. Don't need the temptations. If I wasn't so tired I'd go shopping for anyone. I love shopping and don't mind the crowds most of the time.
Thanks! I'm going to need all the luck I can get!!
Robyn, Tracy, Camille, Lisa, wiigirl, Amy (Praying for your SIL), Sandra, Courtney, Gail, Brenda and Belle, I want to Thank you for the prayers and good wishes for Lisa and I to get well. I hesitate to say anybody is getting better, that seems to not bode well each time I do, so I will say Lisa had a better day the past two. She has therapy this AM and an MD appt. I have a fever, so I will be in a mask, attempting to breathe. I actually have an MD appt for me this afternoon. I KNOW I owe several of you emails and PMs, I am truly sorry, I just dont have the capacity to type or think a lot. Praying for those who need it.
I am still secretly hopping for Monday or Tuesday release but won't let myself get disappointed if it's not to be.to you Judy. Praying that your doctor will be able to prescribe something to make you feel better sooner. Get as much rest as you can. Keeping Lisa in prayer and the rest of the family.
Tracy, still believe that Emile will get to go home by Christmas!
