One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Judy, I hope that everything goes okay at Lisa's doctors appointment today, and she can get back to some of her normal activities.

Tracy, glad that your sister and baby are doing good and you get to see them soon.

My dad actually came home from the hospital yesterday. The doctors didn't even tell us, we found out when discharge came up. He is happy to be home and we are happy to have him there. Still a lot of at home care to do each day, but most of that will never go away and we are used to it by now.

Thoughts and prayers for all that need them

Finally getting caught up again. Judy, you'll know why I'm dragging my tail in late again....working on my Disney Parks Mom Panel Round 2 questions and video.

bushdianee: I am so very very sorry to hear of your brother's passing. I pray that the investigation goes quickly so that you can begin to find peace.

Tracy, I hope that your sister and the baby are doing well still. Praying for them both.

Judy, I just watched the video of the girls and Pete performing again and, once again, I'm blown away by their talent. The pictures of the GKTW show just how much fun ya'll have there. GKTW is such a blessing to so many families.

Ok Judy, the way I figure it a rental house will have a washer and dryer, thus I will only have to pack a few outfits, so my suitcase for YOUR trip will be small, so at this point I just need to know what time you plan on picking me up to go with you:rotfl2: I am only 45 minutes or so away, only a few miles off of I-85 so it will be easy to get to my house and I am a good driver so I can help with the driving :) :) :)

Just kidding, but I am so happy for all the 7 Dwarfs. I can't wait to read more about your planning!

Yes we will!! :lovestruc Yes Mom!! I'll try to take it easy. :rotfl2: I actually sent an email out last night to both Jeremy and Sarah's room parent's (I'm one of them also, for both classes) basically telling them if I didn't have any one to come in on Friday and help decorate our booths for our Harvest Festival on Saturday our booth would not be decorated since I have been given strict guidelines by my Dr. to take things easy and if I didn't she would make me. By this morning I had about 3 emails from Sarah's class and 2 from Jeremy's with people telling me to give them what I have to decorate the booths, tell them my thoughts on what I wanted done and they would take care of it. So tonight Jeff worked on the banner for Jeremy's class (will finish it up tomorrow night) and I'll turn everything over to the other mom's Friday morning. I've also sent out more requests for help in regards to people working in our booth's again stating what my Dr. told me and I've already gotten a couple more people signed up. Guess I should have pushed the pregnancy angle a week or two ago instead of just asking for help. :rotfl2:

I have been cleared though to still go on Sarah's field trip to the pumpkin patch. It's only a couple of hours and as long as I bring plenty of water with me, eat breakfast, bring a couple snacks my Dr. is fine with it. She told me she doesn't want me to just sit (she knows I wouldn't be able to follow it and basically said as much) but she also doesn't want me to over do it. This will be my last field trip though until after the baby is born.

So some how I posted on here and then never subscribed. :confused3 I love the pictures of you Lisa getting to meet Twinkle Hope!! I grew up watching MLP!! I'm so glad you guys got this trip and got to go back. You all look so happy and relaxed just enjoying your ice cream.

Prayers for Disnorth's new nephew and his mom!

I could never have my MIL come and stay with us to "help"!! I'd end up doing more than I would have if she wasn't here. She's not much help unfortunately. I can have her come for a couple hours here and there to watch the kids but long term nope sorry I'm not a violent person but I'd probably push her out the door and down the steps!! Now my mom on the other hand would be a big help and she'd be here if it ever reached that point. She's already going to come down about a week or two before the baby is due (probably sooner) to help me get all the final stuff done before the baby get's here. Then she'll stay for a couple weeks while I get everything back on track.

I am glad to hear that you have help with that. You don't need the stress.

Thank you, I wish I was closer too, but they are doing ok, and I've made plans to fly down tomorrow (Thursday).

Thank you for the prayers.
Some days my job sounds more interesting than it is. :rolleyes1 Naw, it is a very interesting job and keeps me very busy!

Love the all the photos you posted. Can't wait to see Lisa's star, and hang out with the rocker girls! I think my sides will hurt all week from laughing!

Thanks you, I am flying down tomorrow, can't wait to see them!

Thanks for asking! My sister is tired and recovering from surgery but well. Nephew is stable in NICU.

Sandra, glad you are getting some help!
Thank you for the prayers!

I am praying for your sister and your nephew. I am gald to hear you get to be with them.

I had typed a comment and not it's gone. Busy day on tap today with appointments and theater.

Judy, watched the video again, this time with JJ and dh. Loved it. The tongue picture is too funny and so out of place for them, lol. Looks like they were having fun.

Seeing the castle and the pictures brings so much emotion. That each little hand touched their star before it was placed and what it represents.

Now I understand what you were trying to tell me about viewing the tablet and zooming on the star.

Judy, Praying for both mom and baby.
I type comments that disappear all of the time. :confused3 And earlier I saw I was on the DIS, even though I wasn't? :confused3 Weird...

Thanks for the kind comments about the video, I love to hear them perform and they do it a lot. They did crack me up with the pics.

I agree with you about the Castle and the stars. I always get choked up and just hold my children a little closer. I am so thankful and blessed.

The way they did the star last year was like a video game. Lisa loved it. I asked why they weren't doing it that way anymore and it seems the locator was dropped several times and had to be replaced. I am thankful they let her hold it at all.

Praying JJ is doing well and the DAS is working out for you.

I understand Judy, I like that you don't tell everything you know about your friends without their permission. :thumbsup2

Tracy, Thank you for the update. :goodvibes Praying for everyone.

Let us know how Lisa's MD appointment goes today and hope that she gets good news about her leg.
I appreciate your understanding Belle. :goodvibes If you told me something, I wouldn't share it without permission. :thumbsup2

I am SO happy your Dad is home and I pray you can all meet his needs at home as you adjust to the new normals.

You know I loved your video, and one of the reasons was seeing you "live". I BELIEVE you will get a spot on the Disney MP, I am visualizing that for you. :goodvibes

Thanks for watching the video again. I think they are great, but of course, I am their Mama. I love seeing how relaxed they are onstage. As for GKTW, such an amazing place, so thankful to have it as a part of our lives.

Now how about some video of Hunter performing, I promise not to share!

Pack up Deb, you can be our Snow White! :thumbsup2 Of course with the wild weather you might need a few more pieces of clothing, the unknown factor will be tough...I think Tracy is going to faint when she sees all of our luggage/medicines. :rotfl2: I wish our van was bigger, I told Tracy she should fly in to Charlotte on Saturday if we did (Rachel has a show that night), then she could drive to Disney with us. For some reason, 8 hours in the van with us wasn't that appealing. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Tracy has made it safely to see her sister and family. She will see her nephew in the AM (he is a cutie) :goodvibes She is tired; however, wanted me to share "everything is good."

I got spoiled earlier in the week with only 1 or 2 MD appts and Lisa not having ballet class or physical therapy. I actually had a chance to log in and say hello to many of you. It was back to reality yesterday.

Lisa's quadriceps muscle is still injured, the MD can feel the "damage" in her left leg. The theory is she has been overcompensating for the right leg, which is smaller and shorter. Lisa has missed ballet very much and just wants to be back to her normal. In addition to PT, OT and speech which works on for her typical needs, she will begin rehab at a Sports Medicine Clinic. I have no idea how often/frequency, etc it will be, they hadn't gotten anything set up by the close of business yesterday.

Tracy and I Thank you for the continued prayers and for the kind messages.

Hi Judy. Just thought I'd tell you the weather we have had in January, which is when we usually go. Typically we don't usually even need sweatshirts during the day, of course we are Minnesotans. Most days are in the 70's with maybe a day or two in the 60's. It does get cooler at night though. I think it was our first night at Magic Kingdom and we were so tired after a late night getting to Orlando as our flight was delayed 90 minutes. As we were leaving enjoying the 70's, we noticed the people waiting for the parade all had sweatshirts on and we looked at each other like where are they from. Last year we were there the second week (which is a week earlier than usual) and it was 80's for the first 6 days. It was so wonderful to let the kids swim all they wanted. We only had 2 cooler days in the 60's. We were at DHS and it got up to 80 and it was supposed to cool down that night. But around 1 it started getting windy and cooler. We left at 3 and our car said 61°, which would have been ok for us without the wind. I actually bought a new sweatshirt because I wanted one anyway. We hadn't brought any with us because it was supposed to be so warm. And the best part is there usually is no rain! I think we've had 1 day in all our trips that it rained for more than a very short time.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes. This has truly been the longest week of my life. There are still so many unanswered questions. While the answers won't bring my brother back the rest of us would like to know what happened. The investigation is still open. We believe it was an accident but feel like some things are being covered up as we have heard several different stories as to what happened. The funeral is this morning. I went back to school Wednesday evening and yesterday for Parent/Teacher conferences. I had been told not to worry about it but couldn't imagine rescheduling 26 conferences. It would have taken me a month to get them all in as I would have only been able to get 1 or 2 in a day before or after school. I had 1 family that was out of town that I was originally supposed to do on Monday, so only having 1 to reschedule is easy. Everybody else showed up and all of the hugs from the kids really helped.

Hoping Lisa's leg heals better soon.

Glad to hear that Tracy made it to see her sister and nephew and that everything is good.

Prayers to all who need them, and have a great weekend.

I'm here! What a wonderful surprise and trip!

Sending lots of pixie dust from WDW for anyone who needs it.

I'm here!! Oh, Judy and Tracy - reading your news gave me chills! How exciting for you all to be together and get to go to Florida again so soon. This is fantastic!!!

Tracy, I do hope your nephew is doing well and just needs to rest and gain weight while in the NICU.

Bushdianee, I am so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. Prayers for your family!

Judy, praying Lisa's leg is feeling better today and she is quickly back to her dancing! Where is the walk next weekend? We may?? be in Charlotte for the weekend at the Metroliner and would love it if we could work out a meet.

I've been away too long....been a difficult time with my grandfather's illness. He passed away on Oct 2nd after 3 months of illness. Been tough 6 months for me - passing of my maternal grandmother, Shane's surgery, and illness and passing of my paternal grandfather. Shane is back to work and doing well. Has to take it easy and do things at a slower pace but really doing well. We have decided to go back to WDW in Dec 2014. I'm excited - something fun to plan for again!!!

Promise to pop on more to enjoy your thread! It puts a huge smile on my face!! :)

Robyn, I TRULY appreciate the info on the January weather, rain, etc!! I think that is my biggest concern, how to pack and what is too much. I hope we have some warm weather while we are there, it would feel so good to leave here with it cool and get there and have some warm days. I think we will have to do layers (lap blanket for Lisa in her W/C) and hope we have a need to short sleeves. I know to bring gloves, one time we were there in March and it was so cold, people were wearing sock on their hands because they couldn't find gloves. I often thought I could have made a fortune if I had of had extra pairs. :lmao: No rain would make me VERY happy!! :yay:

Thanks Kathy, thankfully the pain level is down to a 4 or 5, but we need it healed so she can dance. She misses it so, I saw her trying to do some last night. Appt with Sports Med Docs 8 AM Monday and hopefully the rehab will begin. I hope YOU have a great weekend. :goodvibes

A little more of our first day in Florida:

After they finished their Ice Cream we went in search of Lisa’s paver. Lisa’s MAW trip was October, 2011 and that Christmas she received a paver from all of us as a gift. They are VERY expensive (in our world anyway); however, we had a yard sale and the money went to pay for it. It was not installed last year when we were at the village (they are much further behind with the installation of them than they say they are). Some day we will place at family paver at GKTW as well, it feels so right to have a tangible piece of ourselves at the village, they already have our heart! They sent us to the wrong location to find it, so Pete went back to get clarification (they STILL sent him to the wrong location). While he was gone we fanned out and found it ourselves. I took some pics of Lisa with the paver and when Pete returned he had each of the children get down by her name...those stones are HARD, that didn’t last long. I thought it was fitting that her paver is at The Garden of Hope...leading the way to where Goofy led us to do his private photo shoot with us when others were getting too rambunctious one morning. It is along the path to Mayor Clayton’s house, where Lisa spent many hours playing on her wish trip. Leave it to GKTW to put it in such an idyllic location! After the pics we HAD to go play at Mayor Clayton's house. It is just such a fun playhouse!

We left GKTW, stopped by Walmart to get groceries for the week and went back to the villa. Pete and the children grabbed a sandwich, then went swimming while I unpacked. I like to get everything done so I can relax...and that s just what we did.

Lisa found a tiny flower bloom on the ground and left it for Mayor Clayton to find when he returned home.

The children found these HUGE little critters (Mom and baby). They were GINORMOUS, it is difficult to tell from the pics; but they creeped me out.

Judy, I love how you share so many details with us. Mayor Clayton's home is cute and I love Lisa's paving stone, the children all look proud. The insects are not my favorite. :cool1:

Judy, what a wonderful update. I love the pictures of the kids with the paver and in the house (I'd break my back trying to get into that tiny little door ).

Those were some big grasshoppers.

I like to get unpacked too before we start our trip...it just means I can play longer and not have to worry about it.

:tiptoe: I am sneaking in. I have been a very bad Diser and friend. :scared:

It's been months since I logged on but just wanted to say

So excited that you are going on another trip. :dance3:

Judy, sorry to hear that Lisa's leg is still hurt, I know it will be hard to get her to yet another therapy, I have seen sports medicine doctors on many occasions and they are usually pretty good about working to get patients back to normal activities as soon as possible, at least the few that I have seen all were. I hope that you have a nice relaxing weekend at home with Pete and all of the kids.

Tracy, glad that you made it safely to see your sister and her baby, glad that they are doing good too.

Luckily most of the care my dad needs we have been doing for a year and a half already. The biggest change is that we have to give him levonox shots twice a day, because they took him off of his coumadin while he was in the hospital so he has to have both until his INR gets at a therapeutic level. I know you know all about the joys of that. Oh and top it all off, he got even more breakdowns while he was in the hospital, on places he has never had any like the side of his foot.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

Marilyn

Hi Judy! I'm glad that you had some free time earlier this week. I was the happy recipient of a kind greeting from you. :goodvibes

Not that you need life to be crazier with more appointments but hopefully the end result will be positive.

What a great honor for Lisa to have her own paver! Looks like all the kids are pretty happy to pose with it -especially David and Christian's close up on the ground. So cute. (Not sure if they appreciate being called cute so I'll change that to say how happy they look.)

Congratulations Tracy's family for the arrival of new baby. Glad to know that she had safe travels. :)
