I've heard there's this great new toy store in DTD but we haven't seen it yet. Is it worth a trip to see it? Is it FAO Schwartz like? Tell me all about...

On another note, DD10 wants to know if anyone knows of places at MK or Epcot or DTD where you can buy candy by the pound. You know, you pick some of this and some of that and put it all in a bag and they weigh it and tell you how much. This is one of her favorite things to do. Anywhere to do this at Disney?

Thanks guys....we're leaving tomorrow!

Once Upon a Toy is a huge toy store. We got some stuff you can't find in the parks. DD is worth the trip anyway.

We love DTD, been there many times. We just weren't sure if we were gonna stop in there this trip other than our Disney Quest adventure. But, if they have the candy by the pound we may put it on our list...I don't remember seeing it there.

Also, we just wondered what this new toy store is like. The kids love FAO Schwartz in NYC and I wondered if it was similar. It's a toy store not a Disney store, right?

In MK Frontierland, there is a trading post next to Country Bear Jamboree where you can buy Jelly Belly's by the pound. They are all sorted by flavor, and there are "sours" selections, and the traditional mixed to pick from. Don't remember the $ though. Seems like there was another place too, but I can't think of it off the top of my head. Have fun! We'll be there with you-5/31 to 6/5

This is definitely worth the trip!! It was so much fun for my kids, they got to play with Mr. Potato Heads that come with so many accessories to use...Lincoln Logs, Tinkertoys...they had a blast!! :):)

I have a lot more pictures of Once Upon a Toy, you can find them HERE.

I have not been to Once Upon a Toy yet, but do plan to see it on my next visit.

However, if my memory serves me correctly. There is a candy shop on Main Street in MK that sells candy by the pound. On my last trip I ended up buying M&Ms that were in Mickey colors. Believe it or not.........I still have them. They are a souvenir for me. I wouldn't even let the kids eat them.

I think they have the M&Ms station where you can get M&Ms in different colors (already sorted) of your favorite characters.

We were at Disney 2 weeks ago and LOVED the Once Upon A Toy store. Worth a trip to DTD definitely! Check it out if you have time your kids will love it - we're 2 adults and WE loved it!:D

Laura,

Just wanted to say that I love seeing your pics. They are making me soooo anxious to go on our trip. Thank you so much for sharing them!!
