Well.... we can rule out all fairytale characters since they can't leave Storybrooke.
I thought for sure it would be Henry's father, but Emma didn't seem to recognize him at all.
I wouldn't put it past Regina to have tracked him down and brought him to Storybrooke to make Emma look bad. It's going to be bad if Henry catches her in that lie about his father. Remember in an early episode she threatened Sidney Glass when she didn't think the information he had dug up on Emma was bad enough. He promised to keep digging.

EQ could have married the king as an alternative and as a way to seek revenge on SW.
That's a real possibility. Do we know enough about the timeline to put the betrayal before or after the Evil Queen's marriage to Snow's father?
EDITED TO ADD: Maleficent did tell the Evil Queen that "that little flake of Snow" is at about the same age the Evil Queen was when she wrecked the queen's chance at true love. Was Snow in her early twenties at the time of the curse? How old do you think the Evil Queen is?

Just finished watching. Interesting. I don't know what to make of this.
The mayor (or EQ) had to know that they could not leave Storybrooke, right?
I'm not sure where I picked this up but someone was putting out the theory that Regina might not know EVERYTHING. Perhaps, only part of it has been revealed to her in the same way Henry's book is an incomplete revelation for him.
I'll add this thought to that, Storybrooke is where the Evil Queen was supposed to find happiness. Do you think she could have that with the knowledge that a "savior" is coming to undo her curse?

I don't think the stranger is the big bad wolf. I don't think animals became humans to live in Storybrook.
Just a thought, is Storybrook in Maine or Mass? If it is in Maine, why would they call Mass Social Services for the kids and take them to Boston? Just wondering?
I think the Big Bad Wolf would be an enchanted creature of some sort. I think of him sort of like Jiminy Cricket. He has an animal-like appearance but thinks and, if they follow the story, speaks like a human.
Also, I'd have to watch again to be sure but I think Regina said that she called Maine Social Services but the nearest homes that could be found for the children were in Boston.
