Once Upon A Time

I am not sure if this has been thrown out there or not, but Emma was reading an article that said a 7 year old boy found a baby on the side of the road. I believe the stranger may be the 7 year old boy that found her on the side of the road.

:thumbsup2 I said that a few posts back!!

Remember that when Rumpel met Jiminy, he was already the Dark One and Gepetto was just a boy. Rumpel's son would probably be older than Marco in Storybrooke.

We need a timeline here. I don't know the order of the major events. Someone help me.

Rumple slays the dark one
EQ marries SW's father
Rumple learns where fairy's wand is located
James/David slays the dragon
PC and SW meet
Rumple gets fairy's wand
Ella gets married
Emma is born and spell is cast

Where does everyone else fit in?

Why did Rumple need the Wand? Was the Fairey Godmother more powerful than the dark lord or was he looking for a way to end his "dark lord curse"

At one point the EQ mentions that the number 7 plays a signaficant role in Emma's life. Emma had lived at 7 different address and now we know she was found by a 7 year old boy. Where will 7 show up next?

Does anyone have any thoughts on Mr. "K" Krzyszkowski, the clerk at Storybrooke's office of records? Any idea who he might be in Fantasyland?

I first laughed when she couldn't pronounce his name, thinking it was Mike Wazowski from Monsters' Inc.

Good memory! :thumbsup2

So... was I the only one who was like, YES!!! :cool1: when the episode opened with the pictures of the Incredible Hulk and Wolverine?

And then again when the compass spun to point to the children's father? You can't tell me that's not exactly like a certain pirate captain's compass!

Storybrooke/Marvel Universe/PotC collision ahead!

I liked the Marvel tie-in too. I totally missed the compass part however.... Love this thread for all those bits that I haven't caught.

The pie reference was about the story Emma told Henry about his dad.

I think the guy in the motorcycle was Gastron from Beauty and the Beast

Could be. I don't think it's Henry's daddy because she would have known him.

I still don't think Regina knows everything. I think Mr. Gold is the one who knows everything. Example, no name on the index card, yet he told her who the father is. Regina would have known too that the kids could not leave.

I think she knew that and was hoping for an accident or something more sinister. Did you see the smug look on her face when they drove off?? Remember, these kids hurt her feelings in FantasyLand- badly.

7 Dwarfs?

Very strong argument for the case against!

I think I remember reading that some of the cast had teased that we've seen some characters already but we didn't know it. Was that Gaston and the Queen's lost love? The reason I ask is, this "Mystery Stranger" is a new character and we could rule him out as being any of those "previously seen" actors.

Somewhat Spoilery Link Below:

These are "Behind the Scenes" photos for the episode airing January 29th. I believe these were officially released so I don't think it's technically a spoiler but if you choose to read on, you've been warned. :rolleyes1

I think we're seeing "Prince James" in this scene with Snow and the Queen prior to the death of the King and Snow's exile. I think the Shepherd Prince(Charming) meets Snow for the first time when she ambushes his carriage in the forest. So this Prince must be the original Prince James. Is it possible that HE'S the queen's lost love?

Something else just occurred to me. We've seen Snow on the run in the forest when she meets the Prince. And we've seen her royal wedding. There's a pretty big gap in the story there. How does she gets restored to the royal class? Has the Evil Queen been pushed out? Is her wedding in Charming's Kingdom with the Evil Queen still ruling the Kingdom of Snow's father?

I was poking around and found this on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maleficent

Personality

She is not at all comical or goofy like some of the other Disney villains, although she does at times display something of a dark sense of humor. She's also sadistic, proud and petty as evident by the way how she taunts the Prince Phillip after she kidnapped him, and the fact that she literally curses Aurora to die simply because her parents didn't invite her to celebrate Aurora's birth. Her minions are a legion of goblins and troll-like creatures who serve her out of fear rather than loyalty or respect, which is evident from the way she treats them out after their failure to find Aurora.[3] She is also frequently accompanied by her pet raven, called Diablo, who seems to be the only creature that she displays any kind of respect and care for. This is clear when she claims that only he could do a decent work after her minions failed miserably to find Aurora, and later, after Merryweather turns him into stone, Maleficent openly expresses shock and horror for her pet's fate.

Powers and Abilities

Maleficent is an evil fairy (though she is often mistaken for a witch), unlike the other three fairy godmothers in the movie, and her evil enables her to perform powerful magical spells without regard for the others' feelings and safety. She carries a staff with a glowing green orb at the tip through which she casts her spells, which include an ability to teleport herself, or send bolts of lightning at enemies. She is also capable of shape shifting at will into numerous forms, including a floating hypnotic light resembling a will-o'-the-wisp and a massive, monstrous black and purple dragon. In her dragon form, she proved to be durable enough to withstand a large magic sword in her snout with moderate discomfort and no injury (the sword only injured her after the good fairies further strengthened it with their magic,) and she breathed a supernatural green fire strong enough to shatter a stone bridge with a single blast.

Interesting, could her minions be the same trolls SW and PC encountered? Also, the EQ stole her green orb which I assume gave the EQ the ability to teleport herself.

I believe it is Charming's kingdom. When Midas and Chaming's father (can't remember the name right now) are talking, there is a round table behind them. It is the same table that SW, PC, Gepetto, Granny, etc. sat around in the first episode.

Hmmm, I need to go back and rewatch the episode. Did she shatter it? Did she gain powers from it?
I don't think that's where she got the power to teleport. She teleported out of Snow's wedding when Charming threw the sword at her. Her meeting with Maleficent would have been that evening because Maleficent said it was Snow and Charming's wedding night.

That's where Henry found her. Henry was born in Phoenix. Emma found out that she was pregnant just before she went to jail and Henry was born in jail. It's a good chance that Phoenix is where the relationship with Henry's dad happened.

It's been ten years. I suppose that Henry's dad might have moved around as well. What are the odds that he ended up in Boston too?

Also, there was little bit of advice about married men that Emma gave Mary Margaret. It sounded a bit like it was coming from experience. If Henry's dad were married, then he was a married man messing around with a girl who was 18. It's possible he was really in love with her and followed her Boston sometime later. It seems really unlikely as far as romantic TV sub-plots go.

That said, all of this assumes a lot from a few scattered clues and I personally still think that the "Henry's Dad" theory is the best one we've got right now. Especially if this character is going to be around for a long time and specifically active in Henry's life (as the Jennifer Morrison interview seems to reveal).

EDITED TO ADD: On second thought, the "married men" reference could come her background as a bail bondsman and numerous encounters like that "date" in the first episode.

Two reasons why I thought he was Henry's dad:

1) We've been told that we'll meet him at some point. And really, how is that supposed to happen unless Emma leaves Storybrooke or the father comes to Storybrooke. We won't be meeting him in a flashback unless he's an actual fairytale character which seems impossible.

2) The timing of it. Emma had just finished saying to Henry that she's glad that she told him (lied to him) about his Dad... and that's the exact moment when this mysterious stranger shows up? Just seemed too much of a coincidence...

Oh! I think you just nailed it! :thumbsup2

I think I read that both Emma and Regina are suspicious of this "mysterious stranger" so it sounds like Regina doesn't know who he is at all.
