"Once Upon a Dream" PTR UPDATED 10/11/2011

We talked about it again last night and decided if we added on a water park day then we would try to pack the other park days too full. Then we also wouldn't enjoy our resort pool and AK has 2 nice pools.

I have seen Key Lime Cove before when we go to Six Flags. Living in Madison it's easier for us to go to the Dells, but I want to plan a 2 or 3 day trip when the kids are a little older and stay there and do Six Flags.

Our favorite Dells resort is the Wilderness. We never get bored there, they have so much to do!

We were going to get Garden Grocer, but the prices seem a little high. We are flying SW, so we are going to take an extra suitcase filled with snacks, then we have a car so we are going to make a grocery stop for liquids and fridge stuff.

I have never tried packing pop tarts and cereal in our suitcase but that's an option. Well maybe not the way I pack lol! Our suitcases will be stuffed!

Another option is to send a package to the resort but our FE gifts we are sending to the ship are gonna cost an arm and a leg! I hear CBR is really expensive! I read that some people make oatmel with their coffee pots so that may be an idea too.

Who are you flying? Since we have the free bags we will have 1 extra suitcase to take food down and souvies back! :cheer2:

Yep! With Southwest so we get the free bags too:thumbsup2 The only thing I am not liking so far is having to pay an extra $80 to get into the preferred boarding group.

We have 5 people but only paid for 2, they will get on and save seats for the other 3. I just cannot pay $100 for us all to have early bird check in!

Have you always paid for priority on SW? I have a co-worker who flies them often, she just checks in at the 24 hour window, so she always gets group A. :confused3

Just curious, we're flying SW for our cruise next Feb.

This is our first time. I was more worried about missing the check in right at the 24 hour mark, especially for the flight home. Figured it was easy enough to do the 2 of us, then do the other 3 at the 24 hour mark.

We are flying Southwest home and even if we don't check in 24 hours prior, we get group A because of having a small child! Wonder how long we can use that excuse!!! lol

Usually my hubby and oldest DD sit together and I and my youngest sit together. It's a good idea to save seats. Maybe I could buy for just me and my hubby (the priority seating)?

I would suggest for you and one child or hubby and one child(otherwise who stays out with the kids ;)).

I got the idea from the budget and transportation board for the poster with the :headache::headache::headache:. We have never flown SW before and since I just took a pay cut thanks to our governor I have to budget this trip now more than before. If we hadn't rented DVC points I would have rescheduled. I'm sorry this doesn't work for you, but we will do what we have to do.

I think it's great that SW has free bags but then they try to get you with this early bird check in crap. The money you would have spent on luggage you are now spending on getting on first. So if I don't do the early bird check in, do we have to sit on the wings:rotfl:

PS I went to the transportation board and they weren't very nice to me once. I am glad you got some info that may be useful:thumbsup2

I agree they aren't very nice over there! I typically only read.

I agree about the spending to get on first!!! From what I gather over at the not nice board ;) is that if you don't check in and you have a full plane you may be split up depending on what's left for seats. And people aren't always nice about switching seats to let you sit by your family. If you want your seats guaranteed together to buy the check in for everyone. I don't need everyone to sit together, I just need 3 together and 2 together. So we will take our chances with seat saving. If it works it works, if it doesn't when we land I will add it on for our return flight when we get there.

I've only poked around over there a few times. You guys are right. There is a lot of accusatory comments and it appears that most of them are anti-children. I don't think I've read the term "breeders" over there but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't typed into a few of those threads.

I do this because I'm a TERRIBLE flyer! Well, at least before that little white pill my dr prescribed....;) But I like to sit at the front so I will pay whatever they charge for me to get on first to pick a seat up front. I get REALLY nervous sitting in the back......

We're only traveling with one child, and he's 6.5 going on 21 when it comes to flying experience, so I probably shouldn't worry. On the flight down, i'll check in when i get up the day before, and see how it goes.

DS only needs one adult to sit by him. If he has his Nintendo DS then he could care less. Just someone stick a soda and some pretzels in his face every now and then. He's good to go!

I've never wandered over to the travel board yet. I may not want to if they can't play nice! :rotfl:

Woohoo! I got my CBR tags yesterday and my DCL booklet today. It's like a little notebook. Very cute!

We just got back from my DD's school picnic and I am still working on my semi-tan. I say semi because my legs are half tan from wearing capris and I have a tank top tan lol!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

I have a semi-tan, too! I should get out and work on it today.

I'm sad that we aren't getting any Mickey mail this trip. Ok, I'm over it already! :lmao: 40 days to go!

Where are your cruise stops?

UUUGGGHHH!!! This makes me so mad, I cant even go in to it!! My husband works for the sheriff's dept and because of our lovely "governor" we have had to scale back too on our vacation! I really do hate having to "cut corners" on vacation, since we "cut corners" the rest of the year to get ready for vacation! We are flying air tran down and southwest back. I heard air tran has wifi but I'm not sure how it works yet
