Once Upon A Disney Wish Live Updates

Since these next three are the same class, can we expect much difference among them?

Do you find the Dream v Fantasy much different? or Magic v Wonder? (Real question. I have my favorites in both classes, not just itineraries).

I could be wrong, but I think they only main differences we should expect are in art, theming and design. The layouts will be pretty much the same - the restaurants, pools, lounges, kids clubs, etc. may have different names or different designs, but all will be in the same places and serve the same function, across all three ships. All three will have an AquaMouse. All three will have those cool secret slides in the atrium that shoot the kids down to the kids clubs, etc.

I recognize and appreciate the differences between the Dream and the Fantasy, but I don't think those differences make a fundamental difference in my cruising experience. Royal Palace vs. Royal Court? Ooh-La-La vs. Pink? O'Gill's vs. Pub 687?

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate that they're trying to balance consistency with distinction, but if they had swapped out the Dream for the 7-day Carib sailings, and moved the Fantasy to the Bahamian milk-runs, I don't think too many people would have batted an eye.

If they did swap the ships around the itineraries, I actually wonder if more people would book. I would like to go on Fantasy just to say I have, but have no interest in visiting the ports it stops at. We have only been on Dream twice, and those trips were three years apart (and its now nearly 3 years since our last cruise) so a 4 night on Fantasy doing what was the usual Dream route would be of interest to me.

I think you’re right - people might book just to scratch that itch, in your example. However, I think once they step off the “other” ship (Dream to Fantasy, or Fantasy to Dream) they’re not going to claim it was a “whole new experience” for them.

And that’s what I was getting at with the Wish. People might be curious about the new restaurants and stuff, but I doubt that a Dream or Fantasy veteran is going to feel like the Wish experience was vastly different from what they already knew.

Well said.

Nothing leaking out on pricing for the MV yet?? Really interested to see where verandah rooms end up. One week from today "super platinum" can start booking.

I heard guesses all over the place. Someone said it may be what a 7 day summer Fantasy cruise would price out.

All just speculation. I am booking on the 17th and if I get a booking I will post price.

For the one I'm trying to book as a first timer in late August I'm gauging off the 4/5 nighters in the same time frame and just arbitrarily assuming 10-15% more at a minimum. If I don't get on the Wish I may book one of those available cruises and go on the Dream instead.

Awesome.... thanks. We need to wait until the 20th to book and will see what's left and how much!! :)

Here is what I had from my TA back then - it was half a year later though instead of 3 months; the maiden was March 31, 2012:
"The rates right now are pretty much the same across the board in September. Here are the rates for a few stateroom categories for the September 22, 2012 Eastern Caribbean Sailing:

** Deluxe Ocean view Stateroom - Category 9B
Deck 2
Total for 2 guests: $2228.74

** Deluxe Inside Stateroom - Category 10A
Deck: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Total for 2 guests: $2298.74

** Deluxe Ocean view stateroom with verandah - category 6B
Deck 5, 6, 7
Total for 2 guests: $2231.40

The October sailings look like they are a bit more than the September sailing at the moment. So - take a look at your calendar, and see what week works best for you next Fall.then we can switch your sailing and pick out the perfect stateroom!

IMO it is Steakhouse 55 (preremodel) or Carthay Circle or... yeah they've done it a few times. ^^;

What I don't get is why Palo Steakhouse gets a B&B theming... shouldn't Cogsworth be in France, not Italy? They did not HAVE to stick with Palo themeing if they wanted to use something else.

Just like King Stefan's Banquet Hall (Sleeping Beauty) was in Cinderella's Castle at WDW.

We're looking at the Wish in September. A little less expensive due to hurricane season. DW (who's never wrong remember :) ) is hearing the MV is likely to sell out by tomorrow -5/18. Even if a verandah room is still available 5/20 when our window opens, we may still choose the Sept. date. It looks like we would be able to do a B2B (7 days) in concierge cheaper than a verandah room on the MV.

I just heard Concierge and 9c are sold out. I'm not surprised by the 9c, there are only 7, but I am about Concierge. It's selling fast for sure.

I have to imagine that several of those rooms were held for VIPs and execs on the maiden voyage. Probably only had a few left over and they were snagged by the platinum folks today. I am pretty sure myself that the MV will fill up before they even get to gold. We are going to try for one of the follow up cruises that month.

Yeah.... I agree. I don't think the MV will last until the gold window opens. I'm doubtful it will make it all the way through the platinum. Maybe there will be a few less desirable inside rooms left by Thursday but we're not that desperate to book the MV.
