Once Upon a Christmastime! A Nov. 2010 PTR! *Update 12/12, Disney Blues, pg 61! :( *

I'm catching up!! I can't believe the trip is so soon!!!!! Sounds like a busy day! I walked past the dessert party on Monday and glanced at it and it looked yummy but overpriced it seemed. I would still like to try it sometime though! I have to admit, the one and only thing I bought at F and W was a beer in the special mug...that's it. Thanks to the DDP, it left us all full and between the lines at the booths, we didn't partake as much as we thought!

I can't believe it's so soon either! :rotfl: I wish it was this week though, I can't stand the idea of a full week of work this week and THEN 3 more days next week! Ughhh!!!

The dessert party is a big pricey, but compared to the event I wanted to do at Epcot, it was a bargain! And unless I REALLY love it, I doubt we will do it again, unless it's a special occasion!

I'm hoping the lines at the booths for F&W aren't too terrible but we are going during the last weekend of it, so...if we get to sample a few things, I'll be happy! :)

Looks like a good Day 3 plan! 3 parks in one day! :woohoo:

We loved :lovestruc Boma's breakfast!!! (and I don't even like most breakfast foods) Yummy!

A safari, a resort break, the Osborne Lights, and a late night at the MK...sounds like a perfect day! :thumbsup2

A side note: I see for your Day 2 rope drop at MK you're planning on driving there. I've never had a car at WDW, so I can't vouch for this, but on the WDW Today podcasts that I listen to, they are big supporters of driving to all parks except for the MK. Because of the whole parking/tram/ferry/monorail thing, they say it takes longer to drive than to just hop on the Disney bus. Just thought I'd pass that along.

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your days!

LOL yeah, 3 parks in one day is a little crazy, but it will be fun! :cool1:

I'm not a big fan of driving to MK, but Brandon refuses to take the buses! He always sees the people in line and says "I'm glad we have a car". :confused3 I'll try to convince him, but I'm guessing we will just drive! Someday I really have to stay at a monorail resort!:lovestruc

Day 3 looks wonderful. I have never tried Boma breakfast, but I've heard it is supposed to be great! YUM!

Thanks! I can't wait to go to Boma, not even so much to eat, but to see AKL! :)

:lmao: Yay for your illustrated itinerary! I'm glad you enjoyed my texting you this week :rotfl: I heard that Boma's breakfast is fantastic, so I hope you enjoy it!

LOL, I told you I was going to steal your idea when you did it! :rotfl: I loved all the text updates, it made my sucky week a little better! :thumbsup2 I'll definitely be doing the same when I'm there!

Good morning everyone! Happy Halloween! Hope you are all having a fun weekend...I've done nothing all weekend, didn't go out, didn't get dressed up...boring! :rotfl: Poor Brandon had to work til 1am Friday, then last night from 6-1am, and tonight 6-11. So we have had no weekend, and no time to do anything. He just has to sit there at the school he works at and make sure no one vandalizes it or anything, it's ridiculous! So I went there last night and kept him company for a few hours. It's annoying, we used to do so much on Halloween or the night before and now, as long as he's working nights at his job, it will be his responsibility to work those nights every year.

Anyway, I'm going to combine Days 4 and 5 in my itinerary update today, since I really don't have much planned for Day 5! And the schedule starts to calm down a little Day 4, no more running around to 3 parks every day!

Day 4, Monday 11/15

Today we will get to sleep a little later and get up around 7 :rotfl: and drive over to Epcot for Rope Drop.

epcot-spaceship-earth.jpg

I don't really know if RD is a big deal at Epcot, but if we can get there by the time it starts, we might as well! Not sure what we will do for breakfast...I'd like to go to WPE one day for breakfast, or maybe EoS, but I don't know if I will ever drag Brandon out of bed that early! So I'm guessing we will just grab something quick at POR or at Epcot once we are there!

My first priority will be getting an FP for Soarin

Soarin-2.jpg

and hopefully the line won't be too long, so we can ride right after we get our FP's!

I'd also like to do

Epcot-MissionSpace1-AVP.jpg

some time this day, but it will have to be before we eat anything! Or wayyyy after! :rotfl:

We will probably just wander around Future World for a while until WS opens, and then I have to go here at some point:

karamell_kuche-525x295.png

The caramel shop in Germany! Hopefully I will get there before Monday, but if not, it has to happen this day! I LOVE caramel...maybe I will have caramel for breakfast!

After we see some WS attractions and hopefully take some pics with the characters (I really want to find those Mary Poppins penguins!!!), we will go back to POR for our afternoon break!

After we are rested, we will go back to

pic-hollywood-studios-hat.jpg

where we have a dinner ADR at Mama Melrose's!

mama10.jpg

After dinner, we will probably check out the Osborne lights again for a little while

IMG_0106-1.jpg

and maybe do some other attractions. It's hard to say what we will do while we are in parks, because we really just do whatever, we never have a plan, but there are 2 things that need to be done multiple times this night, since it IS an EMH night:

rock_n_roller_coaster_marquee.jpg

and

tz-tower-of-terror-400-3.jpg

:lovestruc Did I happen to mention how much I LOVE EMH nights at DHS?!! It's because of these 2 rides, just running back and forth to each one all night...I could seriously do nothing else during EMH and be happy!

Once I am finished and most likely have a pounding headache from RnRC :rotfl2:, we will go back to POR and get some sleep!

Day 5, Tuesday 11/16

We were originally going to Universal this day, but plans changed and we are no longer going (unless we decide that morning to go!) and I really have nothing planned for this day! I was hoping to sleep a little later, maybe go mini golfing

or explore the monorail resort decorations

I really don't know! Maybe we will go to DTD for a while!

At night, we will go back to Epcot for our dinner ADR at Teppan Edo

The earliest ADR I could get was 8:00, and I keep trying to get one a little earlier! Either that, or I want to convince Brandon to go to Chef's de France instead, since they have basically any time available...because I need to see

illuminations.jpg

Illumininations!!! It is possible if we get seated right away at Teppan Edo we could make it outside in time, but I doubt that will happen! So we will see what happens that night!

Days 4 and 5 are over! Just typing that makes me sad, because once Day 4 is over, so is half of my vacation! :sad1:

Have a great Halloween everyone! 12 more days til my trip!!! :dance3:

(ETA-all pics are once again, from Google images, and a few are mine!)

Sounds like some great days!! We had Teppan Edo planned but decided it might be to hard with 2 very little kids (3 and 4).

yay for the updates!!!

If Illuminations is at 9:30 instead of 9 (I don't know when it switches over) then you will be fine..if not, you will miss it for sure. I've been to Teppan Edo 5x in the last 3 years and never made it out of there in less than an hour and 1/2. We went to Benihana last night and were there for 1.5 hr and that's not even Disney so I'd say your best bet is to switch to Chefs or give up Illuminations :(

I think doing the resort decorations and mini golf is a great idea. I think we are doing that now on our first full day since we don't have my brother's main gate to use :( Oh well..We enjoy Fantasia over BB but without a car, it seems like leaps and bounds to get there without having a car or taking a taxi haha.

Can't believe it's soooo close!!!

Yay! Those plans look like two more great days!

Yum...caramel...:lovestruc. Is that place new or is it just one of the many places in WS I have walked right past and never noticed?

I LOVE EMHs at DHS doing exactly what you talked about...riding ToT and RnRC again and again nonstop!

I can't wait to hear your review of Teppan Edo. We were originally going to eat there when my cousin and his DGF were coming on our trip because she really wanted to eat there. John and I decided to cancel that ADR after they backed out of the trip though because we have a ton of those hibachi style Japanese restaurants around here and we eat at them a lot. But they are soooo delicious, and I'm sure WDW's will be the best ever! :thumbsup2

It sounds like after your action-packed first few days, day 5 is going to be a great day to just relax! I think exploring some of the resorts to see their holiday decor sounds like a great idea! :thumbsup2

And I must say, you find the best pictures! That Illuminations one is absolutely beautiful! :cloud9:

Mini golfing is always a fun thing to do. We try to go as often as we can. Plus the free golf ball they give you at the end is a nice little souvenir. :)

Checking out the resort decorations sounds great too! Awww I wish we were still going in December. :sad2:

Thanks! I agree, Teppan Edo might be a little better for you once the kids are a little older! Although, I've never been there so I have no idea! :rotfl:

I didn't even check the times for Illuminations that night, I'm assuming it's 9:00 though. :confused3 I know we won't be out in time if we keep that 8:00 ADR but Brandon is soooo insistent! I was talking to him about switching to Chef's and he got so annoyed, so I said forget it! :rotfl: I'll just have to hope an earlier time becomes available!

I love exploring the resorts and seeing the decorations! I'll have to go to WL at some point, so I can cry about not staying there this year! :sad1:

Thanks!! :goodvibes

The caramel place is new, it just recently opened, and I cannot WAIT to go in there! Have I mentioned I love caramel? :rotfl:

See what a great time we would have at DHS if we did a Dis trip? We could just run back and forth between ToT and RnRC all night! :rotfl2:

That's what I'm thinking about Teppan Edo, we can go to a hibachi place any time, I'd rather do something different, like Chef's, or at least a new place, like Via Napoli! :confused3 I gotta keep asking Brandon to change his mind...I feel bad though, he really wants to go there! I'm sure it will be really good, I just wish we could get an earlier time!

We are definitely going to need some time to relax after those first few days! I love visiting different resorts, I can't wait go to the Grand Floridian again and see that gingerbread house!

Thanks! I just type in what I'm looking for in google images and lots of pictures come up, and I just take the first pretty one I can find...sometimes I can't find anything good, like for rope drop at Epcot? There is basically nothing!:confused3

The caramel shop is AWESOME. You'll love it :teeth:

Oh, I know I'm going to love it!!! I can't wait!!!! :cool1:

They give you a golf ball? That's cute! Have you been to both places? Which do you like better? I've heard Fantasia is better, but I was thinking Winter Summerland just because of the Christmas theme!

I know how you feel, next year I'm HOPING to go in October for the Halloween party and everything, but the thought of not seeing WDW at Christmas for a year is really depressing! :rotfl: Knowing me, I'll change my mind and we will go in November again, or even December!

I thought Illuminations was always at 9 p.m.????

Nice plans for Day4 & 5. I am glad you are finally giving yourself a break on Day 5. Teppan Edo is fun, but its not likely you will be out of there in an hour. I think it usually takes a little while to get seated there.

Me too, but I checked for the week I will be there, and when they have evening magic hours, it's at 9:30...:confused3. If I don't get to see Illuminations on Tuesday after Teppan Edo, I'll just have to wait til my last day!

Thanks! We will definitely need a break by day 5! Although, Universal is not completely out of the picture yet...we'll see! :rotfl: I'm not really counting on being out of Teppan Edo for Illuminations...I'm just really hoping I can get an earlier ADR time! So far, no luck! :confused3

LOL I know, it's crazy! I just want this week to be over, so I can get to my Disney week!!!!

I've been reading online check in has been having problems lately so I hope it goes smoothly tomorrow morning! :thumbsup2

My stupid tooth is putting a damper on things though...last night, a tooth I had a root canal on 2 years ago just started hurting and continued hurting today. So I have to go to the dentist tomorrow before work and find out what's going on...I hope it's something simple that can be taken care of before my trip, because if I have to be in pain when I'm there, I'm going to cry every single day! :sad1: It hurts to drink cold things, it hurts to chew on it...and I'm going to be doing a lot of eating and drinking! I hope it's just an infection or something and they'll just give me antibiotics tomorrow! I'll keep you posted...

Yay for you too, you're going next month!!!! AND John comes home soon! :dance3:  :woohoo: :cool1: Woooo hoooo!!! :yay:

CONGRATS!!!! 36 days till my next trip and it hasn't even been a week since I've been back!!!

Thanks!!! I can't wait!!! :dance3: I can't believe you're going again so soon!!! :cool1: :woohoo:
