Once Upon a Christmastime! A Nov. 2010 PTR! *Update 12/12, Disney Blues, pg 61! :( *

Good morning Dis friends! Only 19 DAYS til my trip! It's so close, but so far...it's the 2 and a half weeks of work that I have left that are getting to me...sooooo ready for a break!!! But still, 19 days is pretty good...

I lost a pound last week! I've pretty much given up trying to lose a certain amount of weight before I go, if I lose, then I lose, but I'm not going to kill myself for the next 3 weeks for nothing! I've been exercising and eating good and I guess it's working!

I also ordered one of those Disney Dooney sketch wristlets from disneystore.com a few days ago...I got it, and sent it right back! The placement wasn't the best and since I will be there soon, I'll just pick one out myself! I'm also holding out hope that I can get one of the big Mickey balloon purses...

Oh! Since we are no longer going to Universal this year, we have Tuesday totally free on our trip, so I decided to add another ADR. I asked Brandon where he wanted to go, I had him look at menus, and where did he pick? Teppan Edo! So we will be going there Tuesday night for dinner! I've never really had any interest in it, but I've heard it's very good, so I'm excited!

Anyway, for my next few updates, I'm borrowing this idea from my lovely friend DisneyFirefly (who is at WDW right now, having a great time with some other DIS friends...hi girls! ) and doing a day by day itinerary with pics! It's going to be kind of hard, since we don't really plan what we are going to do each day, other than what park we will be at and ADR's and stuff...so we will see what happens!

Arrival Day, 11/12!

Assuming I sleep the night before at all, I will be waking up around 3am! I'll probably take a quick shower and then wake Brandon up and try to rush him out the door by 4am! We have disagreements about when to leave for the airport...I like to leave as soon as possible, the earlier the better, and he likes to wait til the last minute because he hates sitting around and waiting. We live about an hour away and I'd like to get there by 5am...we have to park and take the shuttle to the terminal, and there is always the chance of traffic...actually, if I had my way, we'd be leaving at 3:30 but I can live with 4!

We should be at Bradley International Airport by 5am and we will go to the Southwest counter to check our bags:

Then we will go over to Mc Donald's like we always do and Brandon will have breakfast and I'll start to panic about getting to the gate in time! Once we get to the gate, Brandon will probably start to complain about being bored and getting there too early...I'll start to panic about flying when I'm looking at the plane out the window and will start annoying Brandon about every little thing they are doing to the plane and asking if the pilot looks competent enough to fly...I freak out every time I fly...once we are in the air, I'm fine, but taking off and landing make me SO nervous!

Eventually we will board the plane and arrive in Orlando! We should be getting in to Orlando International Airport by 10am!

After I get overly excited about every palm tree that I see and the mini monorail, we will get our bags and skip the Alamo car rental counter all together

since I will have checked us in online and go right out to the garage! Brandon will pick out our car, which will take a little while because he has to get the perfect car, since he will be driving 95% of the time we are there!

Eventually, we will be on the road to Disney World! We will probably stop at a Publix

so we can get some snacks and drinks for our room. Finally we should be seeing this!!!

We will then find our way to POR and go to the online check in line

and HOPE our room is ready! We had good luck with online check in at WL, our room was ready at 1:00 when we checked in so we are hoping for the same pixie dust!

If it is not ready, we will probably walk around and explore the resort or maybe take the boat over to DTD and get lunch or something. Once our room is ready, we will get settled, unpack a little, and go here:

Epcot! My favorite park!

Once we are in Epcot, I will probably check how long the wait is for Soarin and if it's reasonable, I will drag Brandon over there! If not, we will go to World Showcase, where I will go straight to France and get one of these:

Mmmmm...Parisian Cosmo slush!

Depending on what time it is, we will probably just wander around WS, and do an attraction or two, maybe Maelstrom or Gran Fiesta Tour, and maybe sample some things from the Food and Wine fest. Eventually I will have to tell Brandon about our surprise Le Cellier ADR and start going towards Canada:

At Le Cellier I want 2 things, and I'm sure you guys know me well enough now to know what they are...

Since our ADR is at 8:40, Epcot will be closed by the time we finish dinner, so we will most likely go back to POR and get some sleep. However, I'm thinking I might want to hop on the monorail really quick and just take a ride by MK and see the castle...I know we can't go to MK because it either closes early that night or there is a MVMCP going on, but I'd like to at least see it from the monorail! We'll see, it will probably depend on how late it is!

And that is our Arrival Day! Hopefully it goes that smoothly once it gets here...in 19 DAYS!!!

Teddan edo looks good. I'm afraid John and Caitlin won't be thrilled about being at a table with other people. I'm sure that won't bother Brandon though.

Did you ever try Biergarten? The inside looks pretty but the food doesn't appeal to me.

That is a very long line in the SW picture. I am sure you won't run into that at 5am.

I didn't realize that Le Cellier the first night was a surprise. NICE!!!!!

Hi, Nermel. I was just checking the "where are my ADRs" thread and I noticed you on there mentioning when your trip was. I recognized you from my other TRs, and the timing seemed similar, so I jumped over here. I've only read your first and last post so far, but our trips overlap and we have ressies at Le Cellier on the same night! (Ours at 8pm--there's a chance we could cancel if we're too stuffed from F&W, since we've been to LC before, but I was too full for that Chocolate Moose last time, so hopefully we'll keep the ADR.) I'm in the process of forcing myself to start our PTR, so I'll go back and read the rest of your PTR later, but just wanted to pop in and let you know I'm here!

Maybe we'll see you there. We have our adults only trip planned during the period you will be there and are also at POR from the 12th to the 17th. Our 3rd trip in the last four years, but first without the child.

We booked our trip kind of late, so couldn't get into Le Cellier this time, but are looking forward to Fultons crab claws when we get in Friday!!!

LOL I can't sleep the night before usually, but it's not from nerves, it's from excitement! I get better with each flight...you should have seen me on our 08 trip, I was crying before the plane took off and hiding my face, it was terrible! I just wanted to go home, I didn't care about Disney World at that point!

I can't wait to try that cosmo slushie! Le Cellier is a surprise, Brandon begged me to try to get a 2nd ADR there and I kept telling him I couldn't so now he thinks there is no hope! I wonder how long that day I can keep it from him...

LOL...I haven't even gone yet and I'm thinking about my next trip!

Hi! I'm always too full for the chocolate moose but I always force myself to get it! I keep checking for an earlier ADR that night, but so far, nothing! I don't really want to eat that late, and I know I'm going to be snacking at the Food and Wine fest so I hope I'm hungry later on!

You should keep checking for openings at Le Cellier, people cancel all the time! I can't wait to try Fulton's too!

There is a shirt I want you to pick up for me. I saw it on someone's trip report but I can't find it now. It has Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty on it and it says"Sorry Ladies, I'm taken" I'm going to make John wear it in May.
I think the picture was from the store in GF but hopefully you'll see it. He's wears a large. I'll try to give you the money before you go but if I don't see you I'll pay you back.

WOW! 19 days is so close! I can't believe it! I think that when you are on your trip it will really hit home for me that mine is getting close, because I have kind of been using your trip as the "final stepping stone" before my trip!

Yay for losing a pound and a Teppan Edo ADR! Both of those are super exciting!

Oh man, I want one of those Dooney sketch wristlets sooo bad. Actually, I really really want one of the colorful sketch crossbody bags, but they are $150 so I don't think I will be getting one. I can't wait to see what you get on your trip!

I love your first day itinerary! Don't feel bad, I am the same way when I fly. I usually end up leaving my claw marks in John's arm every trip because I'm such a nervous wreck!

That slushie looks so delicious... I usually get the Grand Marnier orange slushie, but I might have to try a new one this trip too. I dunno though...I really love that orange slushie...*sigh*

I'm so excited for your surprise Le Cellier ADR! And seeing those pictures makes me even more excited to try it in December!

We did request a mansion, something in buildings 14-18 I think. We've been periodically checking at Le Cellier, but we've also been there three times so new stuff is okay. We're really excited to catch the last few days of Food and Wine Festival, too.

I will be traveling to New Orleans on Friday with friends for Halloween Weekend, (Joy, my wife, got a girls trip to Vegas) so I get the real NOLA and the Disney NOLA a little more than a week apart...

I haven't really heard anything bad about POR, most people that stay there love it! I hope I do! I hope it's not too run down or anything, that's really my main concern. Well, that and getting put in a room 1,000 miles away from everything! I can't wait to try Boma and Ohana, I have a feeling I'm going to love both!

18 days now!!! 12 more days of work! Wow, I'm not too excited or anything! You're trip is getting so close, after 100 days, it just flies by...although these next 18 days need to go even faster, I'm ready to go!

I'm nervous about Teppan Edo! I'm nervous about sitting in front of a chef cooking stuff for me, and I'm nervous about sitting with people I don't know! Hopefully we will be with nice people and we can talk about Disney the whole time! I mean, what else is there to talk about? I'm excited to actually eat there though, I think it's going to be really good!

I wanted a crossbody Dooney too, but I don't think the strap is long enough, if I'm going to use a bag with a long strap, I need it to be really long! I kind of want to get a wristlet, but I also really want one of the new balloon print bags...we'll see! I don't know if I can spend that much on one bag!

LOL, I just ask Brandon 10,000 questions when we are on the plane about the noises the plane is making, if things are normal, if the landing gear is working...he is probably ready to throw me out of the plane by the time we land!

I like the orange slushie too, I think better than the lemon one, but I haven't had the cosmo one yet! I think it's only there for Food and Wine so I definitely have to try it! Have you tried a margarita from the new place in Mexico yet? If not, go there too!

Ugh, I hope it's here before I know it! I'm SO ready to go...I keep thinking we are going next week, and it's not next week, it's the week after!!!

I can't wait to try that cosmo slush! And yeah, I'm pretty predictable when it comes to flying...I always get nervous. I flew to CA once alone when I was in college and I was SO terrified, I almost walked off the plane and didn't go!

Thanks! If I know that shirt is there, then I'll just go there to get it! It must be at DTD somewhere, though! The costume came with a wig but it was so small. It looks like it would fit a baby. So, now I am stuck trying to do it. I wonder if I am going to need to put something in her hair to keep it in the little buns? Wire?
