I am getting really excited about our trip in May (20-June 7). My youngest daughter Beth is barely excited because we just made the under 90 day mark.
My younger brother, Butch is traveling with us, and my name's Bonnie so we three are the triple B's. My husband is not that interested in Disney and is going to his family reunion instead. My sister and niece were originally supposed to go but canceled.
I've been planning, reading, searching, and taking lots of notes. Butch says, I can do all the planning because it makes it a true vacation for him (he is the planner in his family). Beth says she wants to do everything that isn't scary and swim everyday. Butch wants to relax.

I like to have a plan, I can be flexible within the plan but need to know where we're going each day. Our last trip to Disneyland 2 years ago - included my oldest daughter, Mandy (then 25) my son-in-law, 2 grandsons (then 4 and 1.5) and Beth (then 10) and they drove me crazy because are very carefree about plans and would stand around discussing what they wanted to do for 10-15 minutes in the middle of the park, several times a day! aaahhhhhh! Even after I had everything mapped out and we would have gotten to everything - but they couldn't seem to remember that.

Anyway, since we live in Alaska - it is expensive to fly and too far to drive so we do not go to WDW often. I took Mandy when she was 12, in fact we celebrated her 13th birthday on that trip. My mom and, Butches family were also with us. So now it's 15 years later and Beth is 12 so I decided it was her turn to go to WDW. (The DL trip 2 years ago was her first time in Disney property.) For the first time ever, I am staying on site, which is exciting for me.

I want to talk about my plans and trip to someone and my husband will listen but not very interested, Butch has been to WDW several times and just got a big job promotion so his time has dwindled severely, Beth is like..."it's so far away mom" so I joined this forum so I could talk about my obsession!:cheer2:

Still don't have everything about this forum worked out so hope I'm not messing up too bad :)

I'm enjoying reading other peoples pre-trip reports. It helps me to remember, what I might have forgot. Since I'm a teacher we have to wait till schools out or go over Christmas break or spring break when so many others go. I tried to pick a time with moderate crowds and not full summer time humidity. My last day of work is Fri. May 20 and just got airplane tickets this week so are leaving 8:20pm that Friday. Since this is only our 2nd trip to WDW I wanted Beth to be able to go everywhere we are able. We have to change planes in Dallas and will arrive Saturday May 21 about 10AM. Our first 8 days are off-site, I got a place with a kitchen to save money on eating out, have done in the past and works really well for me.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Saturday
arrive - p/u groceries and go to Character Warehouse for Disney goodies.
then hotel, catch a swim, Arabian nights dinner show.

Sunday - off to Sea World (daughter loved it in San Diego and only got to stay there for 4-5 hours).

Monday - Holy Land Experience then later Titanic: the experience

Tuesday - Sea World (2nd day free)

Wednesday - MK - planning on Fantasyland & Tomorrowland this day, and afternoon parade

Thursday - AK, this will be my first time to AK. I am really looking forward to it.

Friday - Typhoon Lagoon, Beth loves water! should be great fun. My first time here also.

That's the first week. I will finish later.

Saturday was originally an open day, Butch suggested Kennedy Space Center and since I've never been and will give Beth a chance to see the ocean/beach that's the current plan.

Sunday AM - 29th, check out of off-site hotel and head over to IOA (Harry Potter section) when done going to WDW:yay: to check in at ASM. We have ADR's for Boma that evening.

Monday 30th, Epcot with a focus on future world, ADR at Rose & Crown for dinner.

Tuesday 31, DHS, ADR @ Hollywood & Vine and Fantasmic

Wednesday/Thursday June 1 & 2 - DD get to pick one park she wants to return to and the other day, we're doing mini -golf, DQ and ADR at Trails End.

Friday 3rd, ADR at 1900 Park-Breakfast, then on to Blizzard Beach with Dinner at Chef Mickeys.

Saturday 4th, back to EPCOT with a focus on World Showcase.

Sunday 5th, last day in parks, start day with BBBB at MK and ADRs at Tonys - am hoping to get fireworks desert party.
party:party:party:

Monday - was originally planning on going home today - but was $350.00 less to fly home Tuesday so..... will probably hit a water park in AM and DQ in afternoon, maybe check out DD for awhile.

I'm really looking forward to this trip, this will be my first time: staying on site, being on the dining plan, eating at any of these restraunts, AK, the water parks, & IOA. DD says she needs to attached a rope or something to me so I don't float away from excitement. :)

So that's the current plan.;) Should be loads of fun :dance3:

yay I get to be first :yay::yay:

I am looking forward to reading about your thoughts on Sea World. In all of our trips to FLA, we've never been there.

I am also a :teacher: and understand what you mean about travel at peak times. It can be difficult.

Looking forward to reading more. Happy planning!:cool1:
