Onboard booking discount and booking from the UK

Hi,

New to this so please bear with me.

We took our first cruise last October (2017) and are looking to book again for summer 2019 European cruises. We are silver members after taking our first cruise so booking opens for us March 7th. When on our last cruise we made an onboard booking in order to secure discount on our next cruise.

I've seen instructions on the number to call to book but I'm unsure of an alternative to use from the UK (where we live). Has anyone from the UK got any experience of this?

I've not called to book a placeholder before, but when I called to change an onboard booking I called the number on the DCL website (0800 171 2317) and they were able to help me.

We are silver members after taking our first cruise so booking opens for us July 7th.

This was probably just a mistyping, but to clarify: Booking for silver members opens on Wednesday, March 7.

I would think any number DCL published for booking a cruise will be able to handle a reservation using a placeholder. I’m not aware that placeholders are restricted to a specific phone line.

I've phoned the normal UK number with an OBB.
Once got given another number to call & more recently they were able to do it on the normal line.
The UK line closes around 6 or 7 in the evening & if you on hold at that time, they cut you off.

That's awesome news thank you. Do you know if that means UK silver member booking opens earlier than the US silver members with our lines opening at 9:00am GMT (4:00am EST) ?

I'm not sure to be honest, but it's worth a try. Expect the phone lines to be extremely busy.
