On your first "full" day do you usually......

We usually have breakfast in the room, relax a little bit, then go to the parks. :goodvibes

Seen as we fly long haul from England and on the day of our journey we are usually up for over 24 hours we like to relax on our first day. We like to get up late, tour some resorts we have not been to and then relax around the resort and use the pool. In the evening we go for a walk around the Boardwalk (we stay at the BCV) and then go over to Epcot to watch Illuminations.

i have to go to MK, once i see the castle i know that i am on vacation. we usually hop on buzz lightyear and space mountain before lines get too busy. once those rides are over we head to the main street bakery for yummy cinnamon rolls.

This Aug DS13 & I will not be going into a park until our 3rd full day
arrival day - pool then PS dinner
1st full day - brkfst PS, pool, Downtown Disney
2nd full day - brkfst PS, Typhoon Lagoon
3rd full day - brkfst PS, pool, AK

Normally we hit the parks our first full day.
This year  our first full day we'll be up bright and early for an hour drive over to the retirement community grammy and grampa have been at since March. They want us to see the place. They think we'll think it's cool. Then back to the hotel for swimming, because heaven forbid we should spend more than 4 days in the park (this was a big debate when we were buying tickets can u tell?)
Then our second full day in Florida we will finally get to set foot in the Magic Kingdom, to spend the day following around the music department from my mom's school
We won't get in until dinner time Saturday night, so all we'll be able to do then is swim too. It doesn't make sense to waste a day on the hoppers (I even know that) and mom and stepdad didn't want things to be too commando style so they limited the tickets we got. Apparently I went overboard 3 years ago :rolleyes1

We never get to the parks in the morning. That wouldnt be a vacation for my husband. We have a leisurely brunch or even lunch and then hit the parks. That way we usually stay until close when the parks tend to empty out.

I am usually pretty tired from the drive, :faint: so the second day I go straight to the parks with just a light breakfast. But on day 3, it's a character breakfast for sure! :cool1:

This year when we arrive it will be mid day and we are doing MNNSHP that evening, so our first full day will be hanging at the hotel, relaxing, swimming, exploring, etc. and then going to Downtown Disney later in the afternoon to get a bite to eat and (my favorite) SHOP!!! :flower:

OUr first day at the park is always MK as soon as it opens. Dw always tries to talk herself into something else but it never happens.

Wow!!! Thanks for all the responses. We have a character breakfast scheduled for Crystal Palace around 8AM or so and I was just wondering should we cancel and just eat breakfast in the room and head straight to the parks for fun. Now I will really have to think about which is a better plan. :earseek:

On arrival day, we stay at one of the Downtown Disney Hotels. We usually arrive about 2 in the afternoon and spend the evening at DTD. The next morning about 7ish, we head to where we are staying onsite, get checked in and head to the parks. Our last day onsite, we check out early morning but visit Magic Kingdom until closing then head back to DTDH to stay overnight, sleep late the next morning, visit DTD, play miniture golf, etc. Then one last night and early drive home the next morning.

Our first full day is always at Epcot, so we eat a quick breakfast in the room, hit the park, and stop for the character lunch at Garden Grill.

First full day we usually head straight to the parks! Arrival day, we'll spend resort hopping or at DTD and BOMA as our trip tradition.

we ALWAYS have breakfast at Kona Cafe, whether we're staying at the Poly or not. Which we often do. Gotta' have my tonga toast and kona coffee. Then, we hop on the monorail and head for the MK.

Is it on a NON EMH morning? That is what we do, eat at CP (as close to 8am as we can get) on a non EMH morning, so we are in the park before it opens, then we can hit the rides right at 9am!! I love this plan!! :)

First full day we always do MK, and always start in Fantasyland :confused3

As other posters have said, we like to get to an early character breakfast in the parks and then hit the big rides upon opening!
