On waitlist for 4/21-4/25

What do you think the chances are of that coming through? I hate to miss the really good airfare on Southwest but if it doesn't come through I don't know what I will do.

Is there nothing available that you could stay at, or are you holding out for a particular resort? If you can't even book a "back up" I don't think I would buy the plane ticket. Are you considering off site?

That week is apparently a spring vacation week for many schools in New York (includes passover). I've been reading reports of people having trouble getting any DVC accomodations for that week for some time now.

I agree with Bobbi - make a back up reservation that you can live with and hope the waitlist does its magic for you. If you aren't willing to use the back up reservation, then it's probably best not to buy the airfare.

we could not book any rooms this time frame..Its the exact week we wanted to go to celebrate Animal Kingdoms 10th anniversary on earth day as well as soak in the garden festival...So we opted for a mid may stay as a back up

That explains why I had to wait list to try and switch to a 1 BR. I guess that won't come through! We have a Standard Studio at AKV 4/19- 4/25 I guess it will be really busy. It was not our first choice of times to go but my step daughter could only go with us then and we did not want to leave her out. Oh well at least we have a room!

I'm glad that I saw this thread. DH is going to be in Orlando the first part of that week for business and we had thought about hitting WDW April 23-27. But it seems that will be nearly impossible. We don't usually take last minute trips. But DH just found out Friday that he was going. Oh well, it's good I didn't get my hopes up. And since DH needs to get his ticket right away, I think we'll just skip it for now. Thanks for the heads up.

There was nothing available anywhere sooooo ....... we decided to go the following week until 5/3 and there were many places available. This was a very spur of the moment trip. My husband got a bonus week off (with pay!) but the date wasn't etched in stone. We have some friends that are going to be there until the 26th so it would have been nice to be there then but me and the hubby will just go by ourselves. Thank you all for the very nice comments and support. Still got a good rate with Southwest....just a tad bit more. Thank you again!

BCV April 30th to May 5th. Do have plans to meet a fellow Diser at BJ Thomas' second show on the 30th. The more the merrier, I'm sure.
