On to healthy living......

Hi Wilderness,

I'm sorry to hear about your wrist. Be sure you baby it for awhile. Don't worry about journals until it heals. It sounds like you and I would be a good shopping pair. We have similar shopping sytles.

I am sure that you will find a school that works for your family. Are you set on a Catholic school? Perhaps you could look into other private schools.

I hope you have an easy shift tonight.

To answer your question from my journal. I don't carry my own insurance. It just seems like more incentive for families to go after the nurses. Most families seem to focus on the MDs. Fine by me. I am covered by Oakwood's policy since the hospital was also named. Do you carry your own insurance?
Take care,
Beth

Hi Wilderness,

I hope you get some good rest and feel better.

It totally burns me when the charge nurse doesn't take patients. We have patients when we are in charge, but on the STEPDOWN they don't take patients. It is ridiculous. I am so glad we're now a closed unit. No more getting pulled to another floor for the nastiest patents. Why do nurses feel the need to dump on the nurses there to helo them out? I don't get it.

Take care of yourself. Do you work again tonight?
Beth

Good morning wilderness,

I hope that you are feeling better and are able to get some rest.::yes:: How is your wrist feeling? Take it easy, okay?

Have a great Thursday!

wilderness,

I wanted to stop by and say thank you for being a nurse. My MIL is a nurse and she has been having difficulties at work. Not with the patients mind you, but with the nurse's aides!:earseek: Until I have read what you and Beth have gone through as nurses and heard my MIL's stories about nursing, I didn't realize what a demanding career it is. I for one want to thank you for everything that you do and for all of the "extra stuff" that you have to put up with on the job. ::yes::
Thanks wilderness.

Tracy:wave2:

P.S. Enjoy your time off!:teeth: :Pinkbounc

Thanks Tracy that was sweet. It is nice to be appreciated when many times we think no one notices!

I have been bad, bad, bad all day long with the Halloween candy! It is so good though.

I did make it to the gym this am for a short cardio session. I have been somewhat OP for water. I am tired today so I am relaxing for the rest of the night with the kids. My arm hurts from my shot but I am glad I got it. I'll hit journals later.

Hi Wilderness,

I'm glad you were able to get a flu shot. looks like I won't get one this year. :( My suggeation to you.:drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: Flush that candy from your system. Enjoy the evening with the kids.

Bye bye Halloween, it's been fun but candy go away!

Tomorrow is a new month and I would like to lose 8 lbs before going to WDW. I know I can do it. I will.

Trick or treating is always fun but I am exhausted. Good night.:cloud9:

Yeah wilderness! Only 30 days until your trip to WDW!! Woohoo!:teeth: Are you getting excited yet???

I think 8 pounds is a reasonable goal before your trip. That figures out to be about 2 pounds per week. You can do it!!!:Pinkbounc

Have a great day!

Hi Wilderness,

My DH just doesn't get Christmas. We have the same discussion every year. For Christmas whe he was 9 all he got was a pen/pencil set. My grandfather owned 3 toy stores. Our house was filled with presents. Won thinks that we are crazy. Katie gets a couple gifts from us, and Santa goes crazy. This year is she will get a dress up trunk with 7 costumes, some play jewelry, and tiaras. She is also getting a few Disney princess dolls and clothes. A playset, and she always gets books. My sister will get her some games, and my parents will do their own thing. She is throughly spoiled, but those things get used everyday, so I think it is money well spent.

Is all the candy gone? I think you can make your goal by the time of your trip. You are really dedicated to your exercise, so you should be good.

Have a good day.
Beth

:wave2: Hi Wilderness,
What are your trip dates? I hadn't realized that we would all be in the World at the same time :D . We are going to MVMCP on the 7th.

I'm lucky that my DH is just as much of a Christmas nut as I am. It also helps that my DS is still small so it's easier to make my money stretch ;) . Although this year I did get him a gameboy advance sp so that took quite a chunk of my Christmas budget. Plus he needed a few games, carry case, etc. . I think I'll wrap it all in HUGE box ::yes:: .

I hope you have terrific Tuesday :sunny: !

:wave2: Hi Wilderness,
Yup, I ordered our tickets the day they came out :) . I'm a little obsessive about these things  . I'm thinking about ordering tickets for just me and my Dh for the 5th as well. We are bringing Grandma to baby-sit and it might be our only chance to spend some time in the MK all by ourselves. I think that you can buy the tickets at WDW and as long as it's not the day of the party, you still get the advanced purchase price. That way you can wait and see what the weather looks like the night you want to go.

Have a nice day :sunny: !

Wilderness, I know you're struggling. That candy is so evil!! I swear it calls my name!! I haven't given in because I know that if I even have one, I'll just crave more and more and EAT more and more. It's a never-ending cycle sometimes. I hope you can kick the candy habit or at least find a way to control it. ::yes::

Your trip will soon be here!! I'm so excited for you! We did MVMCP quite a few years ago and really enjoyed it! The MK at night is just so extra magical, and with all the extra decorations, snow on Main Street, festivities, etc. it will just take your breath away!

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! :sunny:
