Well, it's good to know that rates come out tomorrow!!! At least then I can really start pricing out scenarios and know exactly what I want to book when/if the military discount is renewed!!

Two years and have never made it down bc of wonderful work schedules on post:/. Proximity isn't always wonderful! Good luck getting stationed down here tho, the weather is AMAZING!

I checked the web site for 2014 only allowing you to book a room up to January 2014, nothing past that. I was just testing room only. I even call & they said the same thing.

Really waiting for the military discount like all of us lol

Dear funny little soldiers who live in the deepest darkest depths of the pentagon and plan my life, PLEEZZE station me close enough to Disney to make annual passes a reasonable thing for us when we next PCS (And please make it soon! I hate this base!)

For those of you that have booked before and then re booked once the military discount came out how difficult was that process? Also I can't remember the discount for moderates...Looking at changing to CSR..would that be 30 percent or 25 percent?

It is typically 40% for deluxe, 35% for moderates and 30% for values (hopefully nothing changes).

If you have a room only booked already and then just want to modify your reservation to a room only with the discount, it is not difficult at all, provided the room that you booked is available under the discount.

That what we have for December but hoping it will be available for the 40% off BWI. Last year it wasn't for the club level

Good thing the year before I booked a bounce back 35% off not bad at least I got the resort & room type I wanted

We have used the 40% to be able to try CL a WL and YC. Both great experiences. We want to book GF CL for next August...oh, and I would like to modify my current Sept reservation to the 30% off vs. the 10% I have off through AAA...

I hope we all get the discounts and resorts we want!!!!

No it was blac kout for my resort as I tried for differents days in Dec as well as late November. They had other resorts but we wanted the BWI. And I called as soon as they announce the military discount. The CM person told me they wasn't doing certain resorts & that I early enough when I called (the first day) I been using the military % since they started this. Been to Disney over 60 times & I know when they do blackout days. It just there for the month I wanted for the resort I wanted.

I hope you get what you want as I do for all.

I only said what I said because I know I had booked BWI CL for our April trip at one point...I am an extreme resort changer...

But, yeah, they could have possibly blocked it out around Christmas...

I am already booked... waiting for the military discount... they told me when I booked it wouldn't be a problem to apply it...

Still, a CM may see nothing for a resort, and tell a guest about a "blackout". The actual answer is probably a bit more complicated.

What is available on the first day of an offer can (and usually does) change over time. I have been happily surprised more than once to find what wasn't available on day one of the offer becomes available later. No guarantees, but it is encouraging to know that these things evolve. Another thing to try is to tweak dates. Sometimes adding or dropping a day will open up a discount. It's always well worth calling back and checking.

I have had very good luck managing my reservations this way. We are big BWI fans, and have enjoyed time at that resort the last several years thanks to the mil discount.

I went Dec 5th thru the 16th and nothing was there to book. We called each week hoping it would open up. I was told by the guest services they only had a few rooms but they went very quickly & wasn't even close to the dates I wanted. I even call the day before we left. I also tried different dates & nothing for the BWI.Might mention it was club level. Who knows? Disney will do what they want to do with discounts as they know people will come no matter what

As I stated in one post we had a 35% discount( bounce back) for different dates so it wasn't a heart breaker just we had to get a base ticket. No worries. It all worked out for the best in the end

What is everyone hoping to book for their upcoming trips? And when?

We have finally decided on August 2014 and we definitely want a MK resort. We will do our usual 10 night stay.

Our 1st choice is the Poly but not if there is a bunch of construction. If not, it will be either CR or GF.

Are the Swan and Dolphin included in the room discounts? I'm assuming no since they aren't Disney resorts but thought I'd ask. We are going for the marathon weekend and were planning to stay at SoG but they are showing no availability for part of our stay. So looking at hoping to use the room discounts instead to stay at a Disney resort.
