We are visiting Disney and Universal the 2 weeks over Christmas - I'm trying to decide which is the better option...we do all love thrill rides, and have never been to US/IOA, but DS (8) hasn't been to Disney either - already have tickets to both from UT and mapleleaf, staying off-site in a rental house close to Disney -

We are planning on spending 1 night on-site at IOA/US for early entry & FOTL, but not sure which night that should be.

Option 1 is stay on site Sunday 12/19 for the 2 days . These are also the 2 least crowded Disney park days by a significant amount..so while I hate to miss the slightly lower crowds, I'm hoping US/IOA will be relatively low also...we will probably return the following week for a day, or 1/2 day or so, depending upon what everyone wants to redo.

Option 2 is go just the 19'th, a day-trip, no-on site since just 1 day, then do Disney etc, and then return the following week 12/26 for 1 night on site & 2 full park days...

So I guess my question is the on-site night 12/26 a much better value (even though its more $) vs the previous week? I know everywhere that week will be the worst for crowds.

I know WWHP changes everything (we are all fans so that's a must do - but are OK with skipping Olivanders unless the line is really reasonable).

So disboard friends, WWYD?
