Since the US has raised the security level to Orange, how does this affect cruising. I realize security at the airports will be stepped up again, but what does this mean for DCL?

Security is already at the highest level with DCL; I'm not sure that this change will have any effect at all.

I'm not sure what else DCL can do. THey've already moved their security checkpoints to before you enter. IMHO they are already doing everything they can do.

Hi Julie.

Since the US has raised the security level to Orange, how does this affect cruising.

I don't believe it changes anything except, perhaps, using an extra dose of due diligence in observing those around you...

My wife was concerned and I was told by a castmember that there are the equivalent to air marshalls on the ships. Someone said navy seal type people. I was told the hull gets a once over before sailing and it did take longer to get into port than it did in 2000.

I recall in a trip report that the last time we were at Orange during disembarkation you needed to have your passport or driver's license and birth certificate in hand and it took a tiny bit longer for everyone to get off the ship. Barb was that one of your reports? If so can you confirm?
