On our way!

What a relaxing day. Did some fishing. I say fishing, not catching. Spent majority of the time rebaiting my 8 year old daughter's hook. She had a blast gettin nibbles, forget about trying to set the hook. Rode bikes, looped and watched the dogs at the off leash park. (They sure enjoyed themselves. Biggest off-leash park they'd ever been to)

Bad news- the lawnmower stump is gone. Sad,sad.

Hoop de doo tonight and monsters U at the campfire afterwards.

Gotto go stand in line for the big family photo now.

Thanks for the updates!

Bama Ed

Catch'n is good,,but fish'n is sometimes a whole lot more fun,,:thumbsup2

don't tell anyone , but I have been known to fish without put'n a hook on the line.

We made it.

Checked in at 10:07 pm
We have 338. A nice site on the inside. Very easy to back into in the dark rain. As we entered Florida, my 8 year old daughter says,"isn't this the sunshine state? And where are all the oranges?"

I had to reply both the sunshine and oranges are elsewhere today.

Actually, the Crouton conspiracy extends to the Oranges and Sunshine :rotfl2:

The Hoop dee doo was great. Been about 5/6 years since we saw it. I forgot they changed up the song. Still a great show. We really enjoyed the meal and were kicking back to watch the end of the show when one of the actors came to our table for a volunteer for last part. I said sure, i can help out. Couldn't remember what the last part was until they asked me to be the star of the show. Let's just say I can do one really good impersonation of a bad, overweight ballerina without trying.

Gotta walk the dogs and get some shut eye.

Tomorrow morning we go see Cinderella for Breakfast.

Fresh local food is better than chains, makes for a better mood and less bathroom stops on the way :scared1:

We depend on our I-95 exit guide to find local restaurant and avoid those chains like the plague, even Cracker Barrel. :goodvibes

Not always. A lot can be said for franchise restaurants - at least you have an idea of what the menu and food are like.

My hubby was like you until he had three very bad experiences eating at local restaurants - first one the chicken fried steak was still frozen in the middle; the second one was very expensive and the food selection and taste were not good. The third restaurant was my idea based on reviews on Trip Advisor. The food was fresh, but it had no taste whatsoever and was expensive.

The plus side of eating at local restaurants is that you could be missing some very good food that you can't get anywhere else. Our guideline is if the parking lot has very few cars during meal times - we skip it. :lmao:

That little canal behind the dog park and playground area next to the 300 loop is where we saw our little gator in August. I swear, it probably was 3 feet tops from tail to nose, but I was so excited to finally see a gator. LOL.

Sounds like your trip is off to a great start. Enjoy!

Smooth day. We had sunshine all day. Spent the day hitting rides with my son and daughter. Park was a little busy but when is it not(especially for a Sunday). My daughter saw all of the princesses. Cross that off the list. Going to go take a dip in the pool and then go watch the little mermaid with the kids at the campfire.

Tomorrow's schedule- EPCOT

Just watched the electric water parade. Kids are still amazed by it. Gotta loop to go see some Christmas lights.

I can't figure out how to post pics. I have lots to post. I don't know if the hoop dee doo pic will make it to the internet. I have an image to uphold. All the respect my kids had for me has been out the window and my son claims he heard some youngster saying to his parents"that's the guy from the hoop dee doo"
I hafta say- it was a fun time.

We're up early today. Just took our dogs for a long walk. They're Brittany spaniels. Every rabbit they see, they just want to chase it. And there are alot of rabbits here the fort. We saw 8 turkeys in the small area by the 300 comfort station. I wonder if they know Thanksgiving is next week. If i were them, I'd be hidin!

Today we head off to EPCOT. fast pass + fit soarin and turtle talk.

Headin over to trails end for grub. Yummy!

Until next time...

I'm enjoying your live reports!!! :thumbsup2 It sounds like y'all are having an excellent vacation so far, and luckily, after today/tonight the weather should be good for the duration. (Maybe a sprinkle or two tonight, but nothing too bad!) We are going to FW for the first time in March, and this kind of stuff gets me so excited about it! :wave2:

Just took the pups for their early walk. Saw some turkeys again and armadillos. Yesterday we spent the day at epcot. We hit all of future world. Crowds were light so we hit test track twice and started into the world showcase. We had dinner at the Canada restaraunt. Can't say the name or even spell it. Le Cellier, I think. The whole experience was awesome. Food was great and service was even better. Took a walk with the through United Kingdom and France too. The kids get Epcot passports every time. They enjoy getting the books stamped and meeting the international cast members. We watched illuminations and then headed home after a long day. Nothing like returning to the tranquility of the fort.

Coming up- Hollywood Studios and dinner at Ohana(Polynesian).

It sounds like a really terrific day! :cool1: I have never eaten at Le Cellier, but it's definitely on my list of restaurants I want to try. :thumbsup2

We had to cancel Ohana last year due to someone in our party getting injured the night before (not at a park, tripped walking one of his dogs and hurt his knee.) But we managed to get a reservation for this year and looking forward to it. It has to be good because in the past 3 years we been down there, finding a reservatation during our stay has been next to impossible.

A little bit of a delay here, sorry.

Yesterday was a long day. Hollywood Studios most of the day and Ohana for dinner. Hollywood Studios was fun as usual. We hit the family favorites: toy story mania and the Muppets. Your truly had the high score among our family.
I don't care how many times I've seen the Muppets, i still crack up. We had lunch at 50's prime time. Really delicious and very, very filling! I had the mama's sampler, thing i gained 20 pounds. Went back to the fort about 3 to relax a bit, but i overate at lunch. There's no relaxin when you're too full.
Went with the family to ohana about 7.
Cousin, let me tell you.
You really eat here. I overate twice in one day. Not a good feeling.
Over-eating aside, Ohana is one of the best restaurants in WDW.
Atmosphere a 10.
Service a 10.
Taste is off the scale!

We watched the MK fireworks afterwards and then I rolled my self to bed after I walked with dogs a bit.

On tap for tomorrow- Animal Kingdom, The garden grill and EPCOT world showcase.

That's a shame. Hopefully you can make it there next time. It is worth the wait.
