On our way...SSR tomorrow!

I'm SOOOO excited...too excited to pay attention to the grammar school lesson--pounded into my innocent little head--that one should never, ever start a sentence with "I"...oh, well...

It's our fifth Thanksgiving at WDW, but our first DVC stay...we're staying at our home resort, SSR...my college age son arrives about 8 hours after I do...his girlfriend about four hours after me, and four hours before him. My brother and nephew get to WDW Wednesday (they're staying at ASMu, as is my dad, who arrives Thursday)...what FUN! We're there until a predawn flight home next Monday...

Mostly I'm just excited...Disney is dear and familiar, but will DVC be like staying as a cash guest? Tomorrow I'll find out. I know the "facts"...but can't wait to experience it first-hand. Also, tomorrow will be my first "son-sighting" since 8/21, when I dropped him off at college...we've both noticed it's been a loooong time since we saw one another. He seems as excited about seeing me as I am about seeing him.

I'm bringing my laptop (so is my son and so is his girlfriend...it'll be interesting to see how the three of us share one high speed internet connection! We're all of us "addicted" to our computers...I'm sure it'll be fine, tho)...so I'll follow the example of other posters and let you-all know from on-site how it goes...I'm certain it will be wonderful, and am very interested in experiencing the difference between a stay thru CRO vs one thru DVC!

Thanks for the good wishes...we are not cooking on Thursday (we have a studio for the 3 of us--me, DS and DS' GF--brother, nephew & dad are at ASMu...we have reservations at Shula's Steak House where they tell us they will be offering a traditional turkey w/all the trimmings dinner...we're quite excited about that!

I know I can take pix...whether I can get them up on the website is another matter altogether! But my clever son may be able to do it...we'll try!

Have a great trip and an awesome holiday at SSR. We arrive a week from this saturday and we're having a hard time controlling our excitement.
