ON-LINE TICKET PRICE INCREASE OVERNIGHT?

They have added a 5 day ticket in now for $274.99. A 3 park 5 day ticket is $315. Still a lot cheaper than Disneyland at $335.00

Does this happen around this time every year? Will this last for most of 2017 or will we see price drops after the holidays? Anyone with past experience able to share some knowledge?

We'll never see price drops. They may throw in the occasional promo ticket if sales aren't good, but the general prices won't go down.

Wow, I should say that I am surprised but I am not. I learned last trip back in 2015 that when I see a good price to jump on it because they change so quickly.

Looks like this new ticket system is here to stay

If Volcano Bay is made a third park, AP system could see a change also is my opinion

Will have to wait and see

For me, I have had the preferred AP and I use it for park entrance and food/ merch discounts
Rarely use the ap for hotel discounts as smsm has been a higher discount for me on my longer stays

Still a big savings for the ap than multi ticket pass when staying or going to the parks for 5 days or more right now

So expect AP rates to increase in the future

Ugh. The package I was pricing our yesterday at 2pm (5 nights at Royal Pacific and 3 park to park tickets) increased by $500 by the time I got home last night to book. The SMSM code no longer works.

Looks like we are going to have to do Cabana Bay (suite) instead (yesterday it was a $200 cost savings (which we were willing to spend to express passes), now it is a $700 cost savings (which could be our entire food budget!) I've tried using trying an annual pass code, but it didn't save anything.

Given that park attendance is only supposed to be 2/10, 3/10, and 4/10 while we are there, it shouldn't be too bad not to have express passes, right?!?

Annual pass prices wouldn't be out yet for those dates. Have you considered not getting a package and just pricing individually? That way, if the hotel prices come down with an AP, you can easily change your booking.

Do you think maybe they would bring in 2 different tiers of AP, one that includes all 3 parks and one that just includes IOA and UO?

You know that would be coming if volcano bay is made the third park

I figure the premier pass would or could be set up that way

We are in the same boat. I was looking around to see if anybody still had the buy 2 days get 2 free and found it on dwtickets. Does anyone know anything about them? The price is a little higher than Undercover tourists price when they had the sameness deal.

Question for you experts. I'm going early May, staying onsite, for a week. Looks like the longest park to park pass is 5 days, I'd want longer. So it seems an AP would be best. The tickets offered now that include all 3 parks (including Volcano Bay) start as of June 1st, 2017, so no good for me. Should I grab a Seasonal Pass now, considering that next May looks to be clear of blockout dates? The only stipulation I could see was that if a concert was happening, that I could only go to IOA and not US. How frequently does that happen?

Also, since I'm staying at HRH, I would assume my hotel key allows me to use the Express lines at the parks, correct?

Thanks for the help. Things always are changing and I just want to get the latest info.

I just checked again and Royal Pacific just dropped $75/night on 3rd party sites. I have now have a week booked there for $200/night. I also have a week booked at Cabana Bay in a family suite for $150/night just in case we decide that the 3rd bed and microwave outweigh the Express Passes (doubtful!) Both have free cancellation until the week before we leave (though I will cancel one of the rooms as soon as I can talk to my spouse, who is away for work this week.) I will get tickets through Maple Leaf or AAA.

I got a deal with hotel at Drury and tickets package where the 4th night stay was free. So that took off a good $100.

Good deal!
Nice you got it

Drury Inn is a good place
Many peeps like that place

IMO, likely. We enjoy waterparks but trips to Orlando tend to be more focused in the traditional parks.

Not a fan of concept that VB is a 3rd park vs an add-on option to tickets. Think there will be some backlash as to sales/customer perception.

Jmho but APs likely will offer the 2 gate park option and then a 'premium' with the 3rd gate/VB

Heck, they just added the 'seasonal pass'. I can't imagine them leaving that one alone and not at least changing prices on it. At most, duplicating it and adding on VB.
