How much is it to plug in at a Disney Resort? Let's say it's $10/day.....do they charge you by use day, or for the whole vacation time?? If it's by the day...10:00 am you sign on so 9:59am the next day you sign off? Sorry, Internet idiot here.

Yes it is for 24 hour periods. It costs $9.95 for 24 hours. If you only use it for 5 mins it still costs 9.95 If you are only going to use it for a couple of minutes you would be better off using dial up.

Just to add to what Saftymom said, you can make this 24 hour period work to your advantage. If you first log-in one afternoon, then be sure you finish your next day's log-in before the same time you started. Then, don't log-in until the following day to start a new 24 hour window. You should be able to "save" a couple of days out of a week's stay.

Thats what we did ie
Day 1 - 9am to
Day 2 - finish 08.59am then 6pm to
Day 3 - finish 5.49pm
Day 4 - 10am to
Day 5 - finish 9.59 am then 8pm to
Day 6 - finish 7.59am

So in all just 4 complete 24 hour useages at $9.99 a time.

Its a CONTINUOUS 24 hr period.Our last visit to WL I asked at check-in.And it is pretty clear on the start-up page when you hook up.Kinda like a timer, start when you log in, shut off when you log out.So you could stay 24 days and use your laptop 1 hour a day and it would be 9.95.We were there for 7 days in july and used our laptop a total of maybe 2 hours a day and were only charged once.

I suggest using dial up unless you are going to on your computer a great deal. Calls are only 75 cents (35 cents DVC rate). Once or twice a day for 75 cents beats 10 bucks.

You can pick up a free AOL disc at the post office or many office supply stores and use it for the trial period if you need an internet provider. It's easy to install and find a number in Fla.
