On GMA: Mom Hires Stripper for Son's 16th Birthday

what is considered pornography?
Every state has differing definitions, but they are defined.
How did this post turn into a debate on teenage drinking? They never said one time that alcohol was involved at that party.
Sorry about the off-topic tangent. The issue of teen drinking came up in response to parents making choices for their kids, choices that may be considered illegal activity.

These parents are total whackos. I can just picture the following conversation between the mom and dad....

Dad to mom - "Honey...our little boy is becoming a man"

Mom to dad- "I know....just look at him, he looks so grown up getting that lap dance"

Dad - (wiping a tear away) "I'm so proud of him"

:sad2:

That defeats the purpose... Because well basically because no kids will want to come to a dry party. So they will find another drinking party and drive home drunk.

I disagree 100% we have had many dry parties and many kids have attended,

perhaps the proper values weren't instilled at an earlier age

and the idea was, the parents control what party their kids go to, so these same parents could all throw a dry party and their kids either attend this party or no party,

parenting is about being the adult in control, not bargaining with your kids by helping them find a way to break the law..

Well said, ITA. And I would add, it's also about setting an example, circumventing the law isn't a very good example.

I will bet you that they get off with a slap on the wrist. This is silly and a waste of police and court time.

You may be right that the punishment will be light but is there any chance that their prosecution will at least wise up some other adults? If so, maybe it won't be a waste at all.
