We're thinking of checking out Cedar Point this year. Do Pooh-sized people fit on most rides at Cedar Point? One of my many favorite things about Disney is that size doesn't matter! Thanks for your help!

being a former employee of Cedar point I can answer this. It really depends on what you mean by pooh size. The big attractions such as the roller coasters have test seats at the entrance for you to try and if you are still ensure ask the employee sitting at the entrance they will be able to tell you if you can fit or not. On the other rides that don't have the test seats you can still ask the ride host and find out. Otherwise use your best judgement.

My daughter and friends did CP last summer, she is about 1x, she did fit in the seats, no complaints from her.

Honestly, Cedar Point is no where near as "Pooh Sized friendly" as Disney. We live just 45 minutes from the Point and we go frequently since we have season passes. I am a 2x and there are some rides I just cannot fit into. Top Thrill Dragster and Millenium Force are two of them. I can do Raptor but it's tight, as in the ride host shoving the seat down on my chest tight. I can comfortably fit into Maverick. I haven't done Wicked Twister because DH is too tall for the seats but I did fit in the test seat although it felt much like Raptor. I also cannot ride the Blue Streak anymore since they went from a bench seat to individual seats on the bench. I can't speak to Mantis or Mean Streak since they are both too rough for my liking. Some of the smaller coasters are just fine for me like the Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, Wildcat and the Magnum, which is my absolute favorite.

As for the flat rides, I haven't found anything that I haven't fit into. I did just fine with Sky Hawk. Some of the kids rides are tight but most of the time they are accomodating so that your child can ride. As a PP said, if you are unsure about a big ride, most have test seats you can try. And if you head to CP, have a wonderful time. I can't wait until we can get to the Point again!

We live near Cedar Point and their rides are not nearly as size friendly as Disney. Their "kiddie rides" are very small. Also, they have different height regulations for each one (or so it seemed), and an adult had to ride on them with their kids. Not fun, if you are a larger sized parent. They had so many rules about who could ride what (I have an 8 y.o, and a set of 3 y.o twins) that it was just not fun. The 8 year old couldn't accompany her 3 y.o. brother on a kiddie ride that was not meant for anyone over 100 lbs..
Maybe you don't have kids- so you won't have issues in that regard. I just think Disney is the absolute best when it comes to safety and accomodating everyone- small to large.

They really screwed the Blue Streak up when they change the seats didn't they??
That one was an oldie but a goodie until they did that. Now my brother can't fit into it anymore, so no one goes on it.

I am a pooh sized girl and am able to ride everything at WDW without issues. I fit on exactly 2 of the coasters at Cedar Point. If you are not too embarrassed you can try to fit in the sample car at the ride entrances and if you don't fit you get stared at by all the people entering the ride. My day is spent waiting on the kids to get off the coasters. My niece used to come stay with us every summer for a couple weeks and we'd always head to Cedar Point for a few days. She is probably a 1x girl. Two years ago, when she was fourteen, we made our trek. She and my same aged DD rode all the coasters for 2 days without any issue. The last evening as the park was closing they lined up for one last ride on the Millenium Force. When she got in the coaster car she was struggling with the belt a little bit. The little girl ride operator told her she just was not going to fit and made her get off. She was so mortified her mom drove all night to meet us in Ohio to pick her up. She has never come back to see us again. After that trauma she is not as close to my daughter. No more Cedar Point season passes for us.

We went to Cedar Point last year and did have some problems with fitting. DH, myself and DD are Pooh sized. We couldn't go on any of the newest and biggest roller coasters and a few of the other rides. That was one of the main reasons we chose to go to Cedar Point. DH is 6'2" and weighs 240ish, I wear a size 16/18 clothing and DD is an 18/20. It was very disappointing because we all love roller coasters. I have never had a problem at Disney or Universal. Incentive to lose weight, I guess! (Actually, I have lost some weight and probably could fit now. LOL)

I know for sure DH can't go on the Mantis (stand up one) because he's too tall. He's 6'5 and 270ish. The Raptor is tight, but he can make it work. The wooden rollercoasters are pretty painful on his legs. He's okay on Millenium Force (is that the name?) and Top Thrill Dragster. We haven't been to CP (even though we are in Sandusky every weekend in the summer) since 06 though so I don't know about the newer coasters.

Just remember that the rides have restrictions to protect you. If you cannot breath while you are strapped into the seat, you should not be riding the ride.

I know that I am a plus size, not quite Pooh size, and I often wonder if the shoulder bar will hold....seems to clamp down so tight on my body. One time I rode a ride called the Boomerang. It backs up a hill, but then it leaves you hanging there until if finally releases. I thought for sure the brace was going to give way and I was going to fall to my death! I will never go on that ride again! I was looking around for other things to hold onto - impossible when your arms cannot bend past your elbows because you are clamped into the seat.:rotfl:

OP - you didn't mention if you have kids or not and what ages they might be. But I can tell you that while we enjoy our visits to CP, the spread of ages in our kids can sometimes be challenging. DD 4 could ride most things with us at Disney (I think only EE, RNR & SM was she too short) but everything else she was tall enough for. At CP though, she doesn't make the height requirement for any of the coasters yet. And while CP has a ride swap program type thing, it is not handled with the ease that Disney handles theirs. There are several childrens ride areas in the park to keep the smaller riders busy while the big kids/parents ride. This is usually where you'd find me and DD

Put me in the won't go back to CP crowd. DW is a size 18 and I'm a bit over 6'2. We went with our kids that were 3, 6 and 8 so we didn't try the big coasters. But we had MAJOR issues on the smaller rides. I don't do spinning rides so DW took the kids on one and the attendant was nice, but had to all but jump up and down on the lap bar to get it too latch. Many of the other kid rides had weight limits that DW didn't make so I was forced to do some rides I had no desire to do. We did both kiddie roller coasters and I about got stuck in both...very uncomfortable, but still were fun. I don't think that we'd go back even if DW lost weight. Just the idea that the park was designed to not be Pooh friendly doesn't sit well with me.
