Has anyone had success buying just an add on (50 pts) thru a resale? I noticed that the ones listed for the timeshare store are usually 150 + points, although they said they do get add ons for sale.

The resales are so much cheaper per point, but I am concerned about how long we might have to wait for something to come along. If anyone has done this, how long did you have to wait for what you wanted to become available.

Thanks for any feedback on your experience! :D

We bought a 50 point OKW contract in December. It was a bit less than 8 weeks from start to finish. A lot of the small packages sell before they hit the website. If interested you should call and let them know what you're interested in. You don't need to add on the same use year if you don't go through Disney. If you want the same use year it could definitely take longer to find that. Closing fees add up, around $400, so you need to do the math to see if it's worth it. You also have more options for home resorts going resale.

We added -on 50 points at HHI in October 2002. Went thru timesharesbyresale.com and Shontell. It was easy and we did it all by mail and it took about 6-7 weeks. Glad to have the 11month window at HHI for those points. It was also same use year as original OKW points.

I did a 150 point resale with Timeshare Store last Fall and took another 100 point resale with them just a month ago. Personally, I like doing business with them (Jerry, in particular).
And I don't know when "enough" will be ENOUGH - as long as there are bargains to get, I'm going for them!
