On board credit code...

Those of you who got the credit, was it because you are taking the cruise this year as opposed to 2005?

Yes, your travel has to be completed by December 31, 2004.

That isn't true. I just called and had it added to my booking yesterday. I booked and paid my trip in full in February.

Hi everyone!

I called three times before I got someone to add it to my Mom's room. I am a repeat cruiser and I called to add it to my Mom's room. The first two times, they said I had to do it at time of booking, so I hung up and dialed again. The 3rd time, she said I had to have a referral code. I told her I had the CTC code and that I was a Castaway Club member and it was my Moms 1st cruise. SHe told me to hold and then came back and siad she applied the $50 credit.

So, my advice is to be persistent. It works!

Enjoy,

That is almost exactly what happened to me. Although I only called once, the lady didn't have any idea what I was talking about but she put me on hold then came back and said she had added it to my reservation.

Hi everyone,

I think MIKESMOM88 is right, just be persistant. It may be just the CM you get at DCL, when I originally called w/ the code, I didn't think it'd work. But the CM was nice about it, she put me on hold for a while as well, then came back and told me she could only put $25 on my mom's cabin b/c it's a 4 ngt cruise.

GOOD LUCK!!!

My TA called and they told her it had to be added when booked. I wonder if I can call myself...I think I'm more persistent than she is.

Listen, I just did it. This is how I got it without any questions. I called and told them I was verifying all my stuff before I leave for my cruise. We went over everything and then I said, and the shipboard credit is on there right for me being a first tie cruiser, right? She paused and I could hear her putting it in her computer. Obviously, I knew it wasn't there before but she didn't. I hope this helps everyone. I got $25 for each of my two cabins so I can spend $50 now that I didn't have before. Thank you Queenie, you are great!

Queenie for President!

Shmora
You are brilliant!!! Just called AGAIn and did as you did and Voila! I have a first time cruiser credit! Thank you!

This is our second time calling and the first time was told you had apply at booking. The second time CM had no idea what I was talking about and transferred me to a supervisor and was told we had to send in a card with the CTC code on it and the referral is taken out of the CTC budget? Did anyone else get this kind of response?

CTC budget? Hmmm...I just got the code off the site, there was no card. Some posters said they needed our name to prove the referral, but that was it.

Let me know if you need our names to get the credit. Good luck!::yes:: ::yes::

PS: Sorry, one more thing, if you have the Disney Visa, and you pay for the cruise on that card, you get $50. on board credit also. I put the code for the "non" Disney Visa holders...like myself...I don't believe in those evil credit card thingys...hee hee.:p

I've called three times, no luck. The last CM said that she could give it to me, but they check things like that and when they discovered that I didn't do it when I booked that it would be removed:( She was very nice and even put me on hold to get more information.

I called DCL.

Like Shmora, I had them check on some other things. Then on the wrap-up, asked if the First Time Cruiser credit had been applied. CM checked. Said that "We've got it in now," and that was it.

Thanks again everyone for the help.

I was told it couldn't be used with the FL residents the first time around but when I called to confirm all my info and asked if my first time cruiser credit had been applied, the CM told me it was there now.
