I waited waayyy too long to finalize my dates for Oct. and of course there in nothing available at BWV where we wanted to stay. So I made 2 waitlists for the same dates. One in a 1bdrm std. view (which is what I really want) , the other for a studio pool/garden view. My question is, if one of these magically matches (not holding breath) does the other one cancel automatically because its for the same dates? I didn't think it would, but then I started doubting myself.

According to a CM when I did a similar waitlist ... yes, the unmatched waitlist will be automatically canceled when either waitlist is matched. I didn't that answer, and still hope it isn't true ... but that is what I was told.

When I waitlisted for VGC in Oct I waitlisted for a studio and a 1 bedroom. When the 1 Bedroom came thru the WL for the studio automatically cancelled. Since the 1 Bed is what I wanted I did nothing else. But had the studio came thru, I would have gone back on and WL for the 1 bedroom. So you can always do that if your other request comes thru, you can WL for what you really want.

Put them in a different name for the WL and tell them to keep both going.

But the "new" waitlist is now at the end of the line. :(

Hmm ... what happens if they're for overlapping dates but not the exact same dates? If one matches will the other still cancel? I have enough current UY points for both to come through.

I have my 2 waitlists set up for a weekend in a studio in December, one for 2 nights, one for one night within it thinking that one night at a time is more likely to come through than both at the same time. Should I cancel the single night wait list since I really want two nights?

If you have 2 different WLs for different dates and one fills, the other still is active, correct?

I have a current BCV reservation for an Oct week (not cancelling unless the entire WL'd week comes through). I want a 1BR std at BVW so I WL'd the first 3 nights on one WL, then the next 2 nights on a 2nd WL. If one fills, the other will not cancel since they are for different dates? I hope this is the case. I don't want to go to the bottom of the list for the 2nd WL.
