Omorosa from the Apprentice is suing

Next week's show will be fun to watch; did you see the previews on how happy they were that Omarosa was gone? It was "Ding, dong, the witch is dead!"

I always thought Omarosa had a HUGE chip on her shoulder; Donald Trump even used that phrase to describe her to her face. Does anyone remember when she had words with one of the contestants on the plane about the phrase "the pot calling the kettle black" and Omarosa was convinced that it was a racial slur? Brother. . .

I also thought that it was interesting how she thought that Kwame wouldn't take her into the boardroom because he was her "bro". There was a very implicit thought on her part that the race card here was in her favor. The problem with Omarosa was that the "attitude" card definitely worked against her!!

The suit doesn't really surprise me; although like others said, I thought it would be discrimination-based!

While I don't watch this show it seems to me if she got hurt on a construction site OSHA would get involved and then the company would be fined. I believe every construction site has the hard hat regulation.

They sure will. Hard hats are required at any construction site. I have that episode on tape, but haven't watched it. Did they have a building inspector come in? I find it hard to believe that they were allowed to do construction without hardhats.

I'd like to know how she knows she had a concussion when she never went to the hospital:confused: My DD had just a slight concussion a couple of years ago and she vomitted a few times and just wanted to lay down and not move. Like other posters have said, how does Omarosa with a concussion play ball with some kids:confused: I'm sorry, if she really had a concussion she would have been very ill and would not have been able to function at all that day.

I vaguely remember her mentioning something about going to the ER in last night's episode.

I would not call this a construction site. They were cleaning apartments that were already built. The only major construction, for either apartment, was the replacement of the kitchen cabinets.

oops....I just realized if anyone didn't watch last night's show this was a spoiler. Sorry.

According to Webster, a concussion is:

a. a stunning, damaging, or shattering effect from a hard blow; esp : a jarring injury of the brain resulting in distrubance of cerebral function. b: a hard blow or collision

For a woman that has a college education, she's not too bright. She wants to sue a man that has mega bucks and tons of lawyers. On top of that, they have the video of the small piece of "plaster" that fell on her head and her playing basketball with the kids. I'll say it again, she's not too bright. Maybe the paster did damage her brain?

They were in another Trump building that was undergoing revovation. It is a judgement call as to whether where they were qualified as a construction site. It was already demo'ed and there was no on working when they filmed. But I swear I remekmber her getting hit, the piece of whatever it was was very small, and I though ShE said it was just a piece of drywall. But she insisted she was fine. There was never any mention of her going to the ER the rest of the show, you would think if she had and they told her it was a concussion, she would have mentiopned it to her team. Her headache seemed to come and go when it was convenient. After working in the corporate wold for 32 years, I have seen my share of "leaders", her style is practiced by a lot of people, I wouldn't want to work for her. I think that Truom is looking for someone who is good already, but can fit into his comapny, and she wouldn't fit in. You have to have a certain amount of "yes man" in you. I do think that this is the most real of reality shows.

Now, did she really say that she was suing? Or are we just jumping to conclusions?

I didn't see "Good Morning America"?:D

Whew, was I glad to see her go! ITA with what previous people have said about concussions--I was an EMT for years, there are signs we look for. Aside from vomitting and dizziness, there's loss of conciousness--she didn't even fall when the plaster hit her. That was the first thing I said to DH when she mentioned concussion--she simply was not behaving the way someone with a concussion would act.

I fiugred she'd play the whole "race" thing--yeah, the world is against you. It may still be in her suit, i.e., they would have brought me to the hospital lights and sirens if I were white.

I also noticed that she worked in politics--definitely had that "entitlement mentality" you see so often in the public sector!

She is one of those people (and we all know at least one) who is only interested in themselves and will change any and all tactics to make sure the focus is always moved away from them and onto something/one else. ie. the drywall, Heidi, her color, her "bro", etc. Jeez, she knew every trick in the book. but that's all they were--tricks, nothing solid.

I was shocked when she barged into the Boardroom and prior to that, when she told DT "...I didn't know I was going to be attacked, etc..." !!!! DT was giving her valid feedback about her performance and behaviors and she didn't listen to a thing.

Did you notice the outfit she wore in the cab ride "home"? Come on-- if you're so into being a leader, and not wanting to use any "artificial" determinent, then why change into a top that leaves half your chest hanging out.

She will never be a leader because no one will follow her. You can't be a leader unless others see you as one.

Unfortunately, she'll frighten alot of people into getting her way. She uses just the thing she lectures everyone else about not using. Rudeness and unacceptable behavior are color-blind!!

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

So glad she's gone.

Do you think her emotional outburst and barging back in to the boardroom had anything to do with their decision?

That' s the perfect way to endear yourself to the most powerful man in the world! Loved it when he told her "I didn't call for you yet!!!"

I was really getting sick of her annoying and arrogant attitude. :snooty:

Oh puuuuuulllllleeeeze:rolleyes: Give me a break. Yes they probably should have been wearing hard hats, but really, if she was that hurt why was she out playing basketball with those kids a couple of hours later? She is something else.

I'm real sorry I missed her on the Today Show. I would have loved to have seen it.

I did see the today show interview..and she indicated that the shot of her playing basket ball was actually 4 days later, not a couple of hours later. That it was edited to make an African American woman look tough and assertive, and have too much attitude. She referred to another reality show that gives the same impression of another African American woman. Since I don't really watch any of the other shows, I couldn't comment. It was opinion that the best person won't win..she wasn't there to make friends. She said the Trump views the woman as "eye candy"and she didn't think one of them would be the winner.

2 things about last night were wierd to me.

1) Did anyone else notice that Versacorp's artists were the DNA art guy and the nutty morbid girl and Protoge's artists were Leah and the guy with the nature paintings. Then when they were showing who each team was going to chose they showed Leah for both teams, and skipped the DNA art guy completely? Weird.

2) The secretary girl is never there when the people leave, but last night Omarosa waved to her. Wonder if she gets a certain amount of face time? LOL

I am so glad Dramarosa is gone. I figured she'd try to sue too. I think if I had a constant headache for 5+ days I'd go to the hospital. What a lunatic.

Where did she say that she was going to sue Trump? I just watched this video and she didn't say anywhere that she was suing him...

It was obvious the basket ball scene was 4 days after, because they open the scenes withthe name of the day. She told her team she had a headache, and she needed to sit outside while they were working. It didn't look like she lifted a finger getting that apartment ready to rent. She gathered up ber bag and went outside, then saw the kids and asked if she could play. She ALWAYS had too much attitude, no matter what. I wonder who she really works for, they say she is a political consultant.

I noticed the change of blouse, too! Didn't she have a lavender one on in the boardroom (properly buttoned up)? Guess it shows how much things are edited, because the "va-va-va-voom" one worn in the taxi was eye opening! I also rolled my eyes when she spoke in the cab about hoping she had opened her fellow contestant's eyes to diversity. Yeah, I guess so if you consider arrogance and being condescending "diverse".

Unfortunately, you do see Omarosa's kind in leadership positions all over. They're the ones with coworkers with stilletto heel marks on their backs as they climb the corporate ladder largely on the efforts of others. You can't avoid dealing with them, but Trump was smart to get rid of Omarosa because very few people in their right mind would ever want to work FOR her.

My friend who watched mentioned that it was implied she had injuries and was "setting the stage" to file a suit because of it.

Oh I am so glad she is gone, I told DH lastnight she has to go. Is she for real, come on. I had it with her from night one!!!! How about how she just barged into the board room on Donald. I think he knew then enough of her!

I am really glad she was fired. Not just for the attitude, but because she seemed so freaking lazy and unwilling to step up and work. Because of that sort of work ethic, I'm not surprised she is suing at all.

As far as the injury and all that, I saw this article on a different site, and it did make some sense. (From an Ohio Newspaper)
'Apprentice' contestant puts on CSU game face

WILBERFORCE -- While visiting the headquarters of Donald Trump's many companies, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth and fellow Apprentice cast mate Kwame Jackson noticed there were no black executives.

"We didn't meet any black executives, so we would pump ourselves up and say maybe we'll be the first," Manigault-Stallworth said Thursday night after viewing episode seven of the NBC reality show in the Ward Center Ballroom at Central State University.

Manigault-Stallworth, 30, who graduated from CSU in 1996 as a communications major, watched the episode with more than 150 students, faculty, staff and community residents. WCSU radio station 88.9 FM hosted the event.

The Youngstown native was on campus for a reception in her honor and to speak about her experience on the hit series that is broadcast locally on WKEF-22.

Trump partnered with NBC to produce TheApprentice.

Manigault-Stallworth has worked as a political appointee in the Clinton White House. Her other job is as a political consultant based in Washington, D.C.

The most difficult thing about being on the show, referring to the messages she has received via the show's Web site, was having people criticize her character, she said. However, "I don't have any regrets on how I handled myself."

But she did learn something about herself by watching the show, she said.

"I have an attitude problem," she said with a smile and a hand on her hip.

Throughout the viewing of the episode, Manigault-Stallworth would break in during commercials and give away secrets about being on the show as well as take questions from her audience.

When the apprentices are fired and take the cab ride, some of the footage had been shot months ago, she said. Now, the apprentices are taken to a secret location to avoid the paparazzi, who were staking out the cabs to take photographs.

Thursday night's episode featured the apprentices renovating a vacant apartment, during which Manigault-Stallworth was injured. She said the editing made it seem as though her injury was minor but she said she spent 18 hours in a New York City hospital diagnosed with severe head trauma and a concussion after being hit by a piece of sheet metal.

"Trump is a beast," she said. "He is not this innocent person," she said.

She said he once told her he would never be happy until he destroyed all of his competitors.

One thing he taught her, she said, was to brand everything. She noticed that his name seemed to be on everything — buildings, bottled water in their suites, even toilet paper.

Manigault-Stallworth, who said she's writing a book and designing a line of business suits, said she will make sure her name is on everything she does.

She found out during the interviewing process for the show that there was room for only one black woman. More than 215,000 people applied to be on the show.

"I brought my Central State game face in," said Manigault-Stallworth, who also played volleyball for CSU.

Her advice to those who want to get into the business world: "Don't look to get a compliment from your competitors . . . you have to know your stuff . . . you really can't be moved by people who don't like you."

At the same time, Manigault-Stallworth pointed out that she'll be going on a summer tour of black colleges with Trump, recruiting for the next edition of the show.

She earned her master's degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and is working on her doctorate there.

Her hobbies include pageantry and she enjoys working as an image consultant who has successfully trained a Miss USA, Miss Taiwan and Miss Guyana, according to the reality show's Web site.

The audience seemed pleased when the episode revealed that Tammy, a fellow apprentice, had been fired.

"I lived to die another day," Manigault-Stallworth said to applause.
