This past summer I lost my wedding ring. I was mulching the yard and planting stuff for DW.
A week went by, then I decided to rent a metal detector. I started looking where I was planting. Within 3 minutes of looking I got a ping. I dug up the plant and sure enough, there it was. It was the best rental fee I ever payed!

What a great surprise.

I just lost the diamond out of my wedding ring about three weeks ago. I was heart broken. I had it checked in May and was told the diamond was secure, but should come back in 6 months or so to have the prongs retipped. I was going to do it in January. We were on our way to opening night of a play (Annie) my husband and I were in when I noticed my ring w/o the diamond. I immediately started crying. The ring looked so bad with that big, empty spot in it. When we got to the church (that's where the show was) we tore the car apart, thinking maybe it had fallen out when I got in, but to no avail. I still haven't found it. The bad part is that it is soldered to my wedding band, so now I have no ring at all to wear, and I hate it. With all the extra expense this year with the new grandbaby coming, I don't see a new one on the horizon either.

I am hoping for a replacement diamond for my 25th anniversary in May, but I'm not holding my breath. My husband has never wore a wedding ring, and really doesn't understand what it means to me. He's not insensitive, but just doesn't get it. Men !
