A TRU near me said they're getting a shipment of something tonight, but they don't know what's on the truck. I HATE the thought of getting up and getting there early for possibly nothing, but whatever.

I find it odd, though, that when I preordered through TRU (before I was told it was being delayed) the price for the three pack of hamsters was $34.99 plus shipping. Their site is now showing the price as $29.99. Odd, no? C'mon, TRU, I'll PAY the extra $5 and shipping just to get this overwith!!

I broke down and bid on a white one on ebay. It was around $15 w/ shipping. Kills me to pay more for something than it costs, but I figure all the gas driving around it would probably have equaled out. Now I just need some more LOL. My kids are going to love it though, my DD sleeps with her happy meal hampster "hammy" every night LOL

Our TRU has them but they are limiting Hamsters to one per person, per day. Luckily there were three of us so I was able to get 3 more. Thwy are also limiting accessories to Two per person per day.

I don't know how reliable this source is, I just ran across it when I was googleing the release dates for the new hamsters.

According to this, the 4 new hamsters (Jilly-pink), (Winkie-black), (Nugget-dark yellow), and (Scoodles-dark brown), will be available in stores in December.

The new vehicles (red car, woody surfer wagon, boat), the babies, and outfits, shown on the backs of the boxes, won't be available until spring 2010, long after this craziness is over and all the hammies are living under my DDs beds with the dust bunnies.
I was kind of hoping that maybe this stuff would be a Black Friday special somewhere. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, you never know.

My walmart had the ball and surfboard/sleepdome Sat, and I picked up the surf board/sleep dome. Taht gives me all the pieces except the u-turn thing. No beds/carriers yet, but we have the house accessories and 2 hamsters for DD's B-day next weekend!!

My sister found some at Target today. I went to different Target than her today in the same area and they have had nothing in for at least a week.

We got 7 Hamsters(We got the white one, yellow, grey and a brown), Ball, Car, 2 accessory packs. I need to figure out what else we need. There are 5 kids.

I found hamsters, accesories, blankets, etc and then guess what!! My dd does not want them!!! This is just my luck. Thought i had a gold mine and instead I have a visit to customer service to return. Joy Joy!!

Ditto for mine. POG was set over the weekend and the Hamsters did not arrive. Still picked up the accessories though. We had the wheel w/tunnels in stock and the fun house. I set my team on alert(cause i work at Target) that if they see the hamsters then to just grab them for me

Yeah it was the jackpot this morning, ours had:
fun house,
car & garage,
surfboard & dome,
skateboard & u-turn,
adventure ball,
wheel & tunnel,
spiral slide & ramp.

I had to go back there this afternoon to pick up a few non-zhu zhu related things and went to see how much was left. They still had 6 items on the shelves.

TRU e-mailed me with a cancellation as well! And I pre-ordered in August.

I had picked up hamsters/accessories for a friend's kids...oh well, those will now go to my DD.

Toysrus is not the only store to do this! Target cancelled my order made in August! Ugg!

Target sent me an email that they would not honor my online order of Zhu Zhu Pets and assessories. I placed the order back in August. It was originally going to be sent two weeks from the order date. Then they pushed it back and stated that the order would be shipped between October 12-25. Now, they have sent me an order that they cancelled the entire order and will not honor it at all.

Boy it burns me up! I keep reading about everyone here finding the items in their Target stores. It is also poor customer service. I, for one, will not be buying anything from Target.com in the future since they treated me this way. I am also going to shop other places first from now on instead of starting with my Target brick and mortar store.

I stumbled across some pieces in our local Target by chance. I'm not even in the market for them, but for some reason I picked them up anyway. I browsed eBay to see if it were worth selling them on there or not, and I'm not sure if it is. I personally would never pay over retail (or much over, at least), but I realize not everyone is like that.

I picked up the Fun House, Skateboard & U-turn, Surf board & sleep dome.

Southport Target doesn't even have a spot for them yet. But I saw shelf tags for them at the Southport Meijer although there was nothing in those spots.

I can't decide what's worse. The empty spots or the items not having a spot.

Picked up the hamster (Chunk) off Amazon after searching in West GA, and husband searching around Birmingham, AL some for DD. Almost had a house last week at WalMart in Carrollton, GA but a lady was pacing back and forth and wouldn't let me by to get one. She was buying them for her neice in Atlanta. I found 1 fun house a couple of nights later at the same store and then found the car at the WalMArt in Panama City Beach, FL 2 days ago. Last on the shelf. Really want to find another hamster for my 18 month old nephew for Christmas, so the search continues.

May look at Amazon again. I ended up paying $18 with shipping, still cheaper than many of the other "must have toys" of the past few years. Also, once I get this one, I can be done with this madness!!

I got Chunk too. I'm kind of glad TRU cancelled my preorder now because, honestly, my DD doesn't need 3 different hamsters anyway. One is fine! Now I'll just keep my eyes opened for some accessories. But I love knowing that, even if I don't find another thing, I can be DONE!
