OMG- Zhu Zhu Pets are they the new Cabbage Patch Kids????

Good morning!

I was at the Walmart in Northlake, IL last night and they had the Zhu-Zhu pets & accessories on the end caps in the toy department. The end caps were fully stocked.

I went to our TRU at opening this morning and waited in line outside with about 15 other people. Luckily I was able to get one hamster. There was a limit of one per person and they only got 8 in this morning. I felt bad for the people who didn't get one. I'll probably go back next week and see if I can get one more. I'd like to at least get her two for Christmas. I have several of the accessories and if I don't find anymore it will be okay. We can do the rest for her birthday.

You can use the search feature on Target's website to see which stores have items in stock.

FYI: It is not accurate! Two stores listed as having items told me they did not when I called. I checked one just to see if they were pulling a TRU and lying to customers over the phone, but they had nothing.

I am done with my hunt :yay:

I picked up my last item today (u turn/skateboard). I went to Target and they were stocked with everything except the hampsters. Good luck to everyone!

Has anyones kids already played with these? I am wondering if it is as fun as it looks

My kids have had the complete set w/4 hamsters for a few weeks. It is really cute, & they played with it constantly the first few days. As with everything else though, they have gotten tired of it, & it's been in the closet for a week.

My only complaint with the actual toy itself is the hamsters seem to get stuck quite a bit so you need to give them a little push to get started again.

which stores did you check? I found it to be correct as of last night since I managed to find the items it said it had at the Target it said they were at. I got the last of them and this morning it shows them out of stock correctly.

I don't think they update in real time though.

Correct, it is not. My local store is listed as having them, and I was in there the same day and asked about them, and they dont even know for sure IF they will get them in- not even a spot for them. I asked the toy department mngr.

Southport Target doesn't even have a spot for them yet. But I saw shelf tags for them at the Southport Meijer although there was nothing in those spots.

I can't decide what's worse. The empty spots or the items not having a spot. ;)

Keep checking the Target, my store did not have a section set aside either so i thought they'd be on an endcap. I was wrong. They simply added it when the set date came.

On a whim I asked my mom to keep an eye out for these for me since I haven't had any luck here. (oklahoma) She found the hamsters and some of the accessories in podunk town walmart in Maine! I'm so jealous. :)

This thread is great. Those darn commercials have brainwashed my girls. This is the only toys they want for Christmas. So, I'm joining the hunt.

I picked up the following accessories at the Super Target in Mundelein, IL:
Adventure Ball
Fun House
Skate Board & U-Turn
Surfboard and Sleep Dome
Spiral Slide & Ramp

We have a new Super Walmart opening up in about ten days and I'm betting they will have accessories and hamsters in stock. So I will make a point of being there on opening day.

I have joined the hunt as well. My DD really wants these too ( or is it me?:))
I haven't had much luck since I started looking in early Sept. I found one lonely fun house on an empty fixture at TRU. I called my parents to look too. Last week, they hit TRU at the right time. They were able to get the hampsters and most of the accessories. They sent them to me and boy are they cute!
Now I just need the sleep dome, beds and some carriers. Here's hoping everyone that needs them for Christmas will find them!pixiedust: I am so glad that I didn't have to buy everything off of Ebay!

Well didn't know about this thread til now. Had I know I could have picked up hamsters yesterday for some of u. They had about 4 boxes of them at my Toysrus which they are limiting to 8 per person. I picked up four for my kids and a present. In each box there is 8 of them. I can check if they have more but if you guys are saying that they are flying I hardly doubt it.

This is all my grandchildren are asking for and as soon as they get on the shelves, someone buys then all and puts them on ebay for 4 times what they paid....I am so disappointed. We have made runs every day to two Targets, 4 Walmarts and TRU. No one has anything and the sales people say..."someone came in and took the entire shelf"...I stood in line for a Cabbage Patch doll way back in the early 80's. I really don't know what to do. They should take names and when they come in sell them to the people who are waiting for them or something...

My 6 year old daughter is impossible to buy for. She doesn't really show interest in anything other than what her sister shows interest in. Imagine our surprise when she mentioned she wanted these things! :yay:

Of course it had to be the hottest thing out there!!:scared1:

I managed to snag a ball and the surfboard thing, but have not seen anything else.

I went ahead an won an auction on Ebay for 1 each of the hamsters. Spent $70 total (with shipping) to get the hamsters.

I'm only keeping 2 and I just put the other 2 up for sale on Craigslist right now for what I paid for them ($17.50 each). I feel bad about asking that much, but that's what I paid and I think my daughter will be fine with 2 hamsters right now. Maybe after X-Mas if she still plays with them we'll look for more.

Makes me mad though that people are buying everything in one go. When I got the ball, the employee told me that a) the manager of the store is holding everything in the back and only allowing people to buy 2 items at a time (no matter what they buy, it's a limit of 2 items, not 2 of each thing they want) and b) they told me someone else had said the local TRU had them in and someone bought everything and then tried selling them in the parking lot for $40 each!! :scared1: Thankfully they called the cops on them.

Our TRU are handing out tickets for the hamsters, you are allowed 2 per ticket, if you get a ticket you can't buy the accessories until everyone else who didn't get a ticket is able to buy something.
Which worked out good, I just wished they allowed 1 hamster per ticket then more people could get the hamster, having the house and no hamster will not be fun:sad2: still trying to get the hamster for my niece.

I just wish someone had them. There are always empty pegs on the walmart shelves. I wouldn't mind paying $17.50. But some people are selling them for $32 each. I am just disheartened. In the 1980 dabocle, I stood in line at Hill's (anyone remember Hill's?} at 3am, and you were allowed to purchase only one cabbage patch...I had 3 daughters. So I gave the man in front of me money to buy another one. People were pushing and shoving and I just grabbed whatever doll was left..got a boy wearing glasses.
Two years ago it was the Pat Pat Rocket...I bought 2 on ebay and I paid double price...I sold one on ebay for the actual price that it was to cost...I felt sorry for people. It was my good deed for the year.

I can't believe I saw these 2 days ago and passed them up. I went back to get them today and found empty shelves. Lesson learned.

My TRU finally had a ton of hamsters and accessories this morning. I went looking for video games and ended up getting the 3 hamsters I needed. They were limiting to 4 hamsters and I think 4 accessories per person. This is Framingham, MA

I am all done ZHuZhu shopping!
