Well the pixie dust must have worked. I just got an email from my father and he was able to get me 3 hamsters(every color but white) the car/garage, the surfboard and the spiral slide out in Texas( Kingwood area). He got the hamsters at Walmart and the rest at Toys R Us.

So anyway, here is some pixie dust for the rest of you. Good Luck!

I am down to needing the spiral slide and the u-turn. I got to toys r us at 10:15 and all they had left was a few hamsters. I had no clue that they were getting any into day. It was hard to look at peoples cart that had the two pieces I need in it. Oh well I have got plenty of time. I just would like to be finished with it.

Mom picked up 2 hamsters and the house for DD's birthday in Oct. yesterday. She conned the stock guy at her walmart into calling her when the truck got there. Yea mom!!!! Now to start looking for the other pieces for christmas!
Anyone at all had luck getiing the all ni one set that retails for $85??

My daughters helped review these products last month...while extremely cute if your daughters have long hair beware. My GFs daughters wanted to hear the hamsters talk so they put them up to their ears and pushed the backs of the critters which makes the wheels turn...OUCH! Long golden locks are now so wrapped up into the wheels that the we had to totally take the hamsters apart (can't put them back together again) and their hair almost needed to be cut ( inch away from scalp) If your girls have long hair please tie it up & away from the face!
The Zhu Zhu's are totally cute and the girls have loved playing with them!

BTW how do you get to test toys? I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to do that!

How many accesories are there?

I have been looking in the Lehigh Valley as well. No luck yet.....however if you go to walmart.com or tru.com you can type in your zip and they will tell you if a store has them in stock. This has saved me a ton of gas!!!!

Good tip! I just checked and it says the WM in P-burg, NJ has limited stock of the fun house. But, it also says the hamsters are not available in stores (not just not in stock, it says only available online) whcih makes no sense because I know they carry them in the stores, I have seen the empty hooks! Weird.

How many accesories are there?

Just called 1 of my WMs & they had all the hamsters - about 20 of them but no accessories.

There are 6 accessories (not including the fun house and the sleep bed things). So far it seems like they have been easier to find than the hamsters, at least in my area. The only accessory that I have not seen is the slide.

I finally gave in and started the hunt for these pesky things! I went to Walmart at 6am and they had not received a truck last night. Then I went to TRU and they had none on the shelves. I asked at the register and they had a few hamsters and their beds behind the counter. They only had the white and brown ones...so I bought those and the beds. Might return the beds though as they were more money than the pesky hamsters! My TRU told me that a lady has been coming in each morning and buying every item on the shelf.....so that is why they put then behind the counter and limited the amount you can purchase.

Thanks for the info! My TRU got the hamsters in today...and they said they currently only receive 1 truck a week....which will change to 3 closer to Christmas. Maybe I will find the accessories next week....

I have been putting together sets of these things for my family member and for people in my husbands office.

If you are in the Naperville, IL are send me a PM and I can tell you the stores that will have the stuff and the schedules of when they receive trucks. I finally have all I need--in fact I have a few too many environments, so if you have a need maybe we can arrange to meet at the store and I can return and you can be the person in line behind me to buy. I am kind of sick of the yellow and blue boxes.

BTW--I opened one hamster and one Adventure Ball, (since I have been collecting this stuff for the past month for holiday gifts) and I must tell you my two cats really like chasing these things. I can put the hamster in the ball and the cat will chase it for an hour.

You guys are a bad influence! You put the fear in me that a month from now DD will suddenly see the commercial and beg for Zhu Zhu's for Christmas and there will be none to be had. So...I joined the great hamster hunt of 2009. I've actually had really good luck. If anyone in the Oklahoma City area is looking now is a good time to try. I picked up the fun house at one Walmart 2 days ago (the only thing they had). The next day, I stopped by a different Wal-mart on my way home from work and found all 4 hamsters and the Adventure ball (they had a decent supply of hamsters). Today I went to a different Wal-mart at lunch and found beds and a carrier/blanket set (they also had a good supply of hamsters). My DH laughed because he thinks it's all about the shopping challenge and thrill of the chase with me... but then the bug hit him too. DH stopped by Toys R Us today and hit the jackpot. They have pretty much everything, but the skateboard. The problem is, they limit you to 1 hamster and 2 accessories. I can see limiting you to one of each accessory, but if a kid wants one whole set I think it is ridiculous that you can't buy all the pieces at one time. Anyway , that irritated DH and it became a challenge to him to get the rest of the set today! He got the car and wheel, and then went back later and got the surfboard and slide. So, I guess we are just looking for the skateboard! I really hope DD likes them--- if not, I think it is a good bet that my niece is going to want them and her Mom probably will be scrambling for them.

Found yel, white, tan hamsters today & the 2 round thingies....so now the hunt for all the other accessories.

Are there as many hamsters out there as the boxes show? I think they show 9 of them.... we certainly don't need that many - but just curious...
