I know what you mean about being in a serious or formal situation and hearing someone say something that sounds inappropriate, and you just know that Michael's remark would fit perfectly. There are so many times when we're out in public and we hear someone say something, and we just look at each other knowing what the other is thinking. We've heard some doozies that would be totally ban-worthy if I posted them here!
And it's really hilarious when you hear someone say "that's what she said", and it's part of a perfectly normal conversation.
I was at the bank the other day and I overheard a teller talking to someone and she remarked, "That's what she said." It always sounds out of place when I hear someone say that, and I have to look around to see if anyone is laughing.
