Fine, how are you doing? Uh, oops
:rotfl:

Wore my Dunder Mifflin t-shirt to the grocery store yesterday and no less than 5 different people commented on it. Note to self - do not wear shirt when I want to be left alone.

I enjoyed the marathon last night - they were actually episodes that I missed in the past.:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: That part was great !

I had missed that first episode they showed with the Office Olympics and I had missed bits and pieces of the others so it was nice to see them all.

I can't wait to see what they do with the Pam/Jim relationship and how it will play out with Ryan going to corporate...should be good.

Oh yeah I was rolling when he helped ;) Stanley pick something to drink from the vending machine and then he says you are going to hate it .

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I had never seen the Office Olympics one either. How did I miss it? It was good to be with my old friends last night. I am dying for Season 3 to come out on DVD.

I think I'm going to buy myself a Dunder Mifflin baseball cap. Yep.

Damn, I missed a marathon last night?! Stupid school! ;)

Funnily enough, I just popped Season 2 into the DVD player because today's housecleaning day. I've seen all of them so many times that I can just hear bits and pieces and still be entertained, so I always have the Office on when I clean.

Hee hee...Michael's version of "OPP" from the Dundies episode's on now. :rotfl:

The "Old School" quotes thread had me thinking--it might be amusing to post favorite Office quotes somewhere (be it here or elsewhere). Since I'm watching Season 2 right now, here's one of mine, from the Office Olympics episode, when Michael and Dwight are driving back to the office after closing on Michael's condo:

Dwight: You know you can always refinance your mortgage. We had a 15 year on our beet farm. We paid it off early.
Michael: Yeah, well, you know what? Nobody cares about your stupid beet farm. Beets are the worst.
Dwight: People love beets.
Michael: Nobody likes beets.
Dwight: Everybody loves beets.
Michael: Nobody likes beets, Dwight. Why don't you grow something that everybody does like? ...You should grow candy. I'd love a piece of candy right now. Not a beet.
Dwight: Let's get this roof going.
Michael: Stop it! [smacks Dwight's arm]
Dwight: Ow.

By the way, there's a site that has full transcripts of ALL episodes, which is awesome.

Cool thanks for the link :)

This was one of my favorites from the Booze cruise last night...

Dwight: Don't worry, Michael. I'm taking us to shore.
Michael: It's a fake wheel, dummy.

I just can't figure out which of those two is the bigger dummy ;)

Taking a break from housecleaning right now, and The Injury is what's on. It's probably one of my favorite episodes ever.

Michael: Can I have everyone's attention please? Phyllis, Oscar, Ryan, who's supposed to be dead, can I ask you all a question? Do you all know what it's like to be disabled? Oscar?
Phyllis: Um, I had scoliosis as a girl.
Michael: No, never heard of it. No, a real disability, not a woman's trouble.
Creed: When I was a teenager, I was in an iron lung.
Michael: Wuh, how, how old are you?

And probably my favorite Office line ever...

"You can't fire me. I don't work in this van."

:rotfl:

OK, I have some way-cool news to share! A prop manager for The Office has been in Scranton since Monday meeting with businesses that would like to be mentioned on the show.

Our marketing person went and we were selected to be the official bank of The Office! Whenever someone has to cash a check or make a deposit, etc., they'll mention us. We have to send them fake checks, etc., and they may show our website on someone's computer screen.

I figured that you guys would be more interested in this than anyone else I could tell about it.

The beauty of it is that our main branch is across the street from Cuginos, where they've mentioned going to lunch on several occasions, so I guess it makes sense to have the bank right across the street.

Oh how awesome!!!!!!!! Maybe they'll film some stuff at your bank and you can get an autograph of Jim or something!

I'd love that, but my DH who doesn't even watch the show would probably get to be in one of the scenes as an extra or something. We both work for the same bank. Me for 19 years; him for 18 years. Yeah, we like it here.

Yep, Poor Richards, the bar that they go to is in the South Side Bowling lanes. They've shown a Wilkes Barre/Scranton Peguins ice hockey jersey that Dwight gave to Michael for his birthday. Didn't it have "from Dwight" on the back?

They also have Froggie 101 stickers and Rock 107 stickers posted in their cubes. They've mentioned the Coal Mine Tour and Scranton Travel.

Lake Wallenpaupack does have booze cruises (in the summer.) :)

We don't have a Hooters, although Hooters Airline did fly out of our airport for awhile.

There was an article in the paper the other day saying that in the past they've gone to one of my friends who works for the Scranton Chamber of Commerce for tie in ideas. They decided to do more by actually making it open to everyone.

Thats a real thing ?!?! Too funny...

Well I never knew that they did all that...I will have to pay more attention to the names of places and the subtle advertising...it all seems to go over my head. :rolleyes1

How COOL!!! That's awesome...I almost feel now like, "Hey, I sorta kinda know somebody who's sorta kinda almost gonna be famous...or at least the bank will be!"

I'll be watching for it!

The coal mine tour is actually very interesting. They take you on a coal car into the mine shaft and show what conditions were like for our grandparents and great-grandparents who worked in the mines. It's really an eye-opener. Young boys would be used to open and close the doors that contained air in parts of the shafts. Older boys (8yo's) would climb into the monkey veins to collect the coal that they couldn't mine in traditional ways because these boys would fit into these small veins.

They have a comments book at the end of the tour and the first time I was there I wrote that this was a good tour to prove that you needed an education in that era so you wouldn't have to work in the mines. I stressed the importance of education when we took our kids there a couple years ago. It was quite an experience for them to see what life was like then.

What about the drop? When you take the elevator down it drops, right?:rotfl: Then there's something scary going on down there? It's just a tour, nothing scary or exciting? Ah, nevermind, guess I'll just get some ice cream sandwiches instead.:lmao:

The Office Prop master came to Scranton the other day for local props.:thumbsup2 I love this about the show....very realistic. Their candy machine had all Gertrude Hawk candy bars!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

The Office” doesn’t have enough coffee to fill all the ceramic mugs the NBC show’s prop master picked up in his first day meeting with area business representatives.
More than 140 lined up at the Mall at Steamtown on Tuesday with bags, boxes and even pizza for sitcom prop master Philip Shea, hoping for a mention or placement on the hit show based in Scranton.

Mugs and T-shirts were the most common branded merchandise dropped off by local businesses. The strangest prop: a Pride Mobility scooter
