OMG - They cancelled my Poly ressie. Having a heart attack.

Okay, so I check the mail today and I find two pieces of mail from WDW. I am, of course, expecting confirmation letters after applying my AP rates to my two existing reservations. Imagine my surprise when I open them and see that they have CANCELLED my Poly reservation and replaced it with AKL! :confused3

Now picture me fainting to the floor....

Well, I immeadiately call CRO and have them fix the problem. I am just lucky that they had LVC available for my dates. The CM I spoke with was great, but provided no info as to "why" this occured. My deposit was transferred and everything. :earseek:

I think everything is all set now, but I thought that on Friday as well. The letter actually says "Cancelled per guest call". That never happened. I never, ever mentioned cancelling or the AKL. How does this happen?

I have sent off an email to the Poly concierge staff just to make sure everything is okay on their end. Anything else I can do? Or just sit and wait for my next confirmation letter and hope that it is correct. :badpc:

Thank goodness they had what you wanted available. I think you did all you can. Good idea to email the concierge staff.

I might call one more time to verify everything is correct.

Now I'm having a heart attack. I changed from AAA rate to Ap rate and I got a cancellation letter today. Yikes.

Maybe they had to cancel your one ressie and do a totally new ressie for the AP code.....I would call and check just to make sure.
 

lovethattink - Did they put you at a completely new resort? If they had to cancel my existing reservation in order to apply a code (which I didn't think they had to do) why would they rebook me at a different resort? I am sure it was just a quick mistake, but I hope it doesn't happen to more people.

Same thing happened to me last fall when I applied AP rate to my December reservation. It actually got cancelled twice, because the CM who was supposed to be fixing the problem did fix it, then subsequently somehow refunded my deposit, so it appeared that I had not made a deposit in time. Believe me, I got so paranoid after that I was calling twice a week to reassure myself! Everything worked out fine and we had a great trip with our nephew, but I would call again and make sure that they send you a new confirmation letter so you have something in writing.
