OMG!!! Some people....

I still can’t get over taking 2, I was taught, and my kids were taught, if you are offered a treat, you take 1. This is not a meal. For the donuts, I always take a quarter, I don’t want the whole thing. As for the Diet Coke, everyone knows that artificial sweeteners are bad for you, it’s not the caffeine, so you can’t say it’s the same thing as a cup of black coffee.

If I have a box of chocolates, I’m guilty of eating more than 1 at a time. However, if someone offers me their box, I’m taking 1.

List of topics to never ask about on the DIS again in the future:

  • Anything that starts with "What would you do?"
  • Children
  • Food
:rotfl2:

You know what? The OP was clearly very rude by not asking everyone at the workplace if any of them had food allergies, if anyone needed gluten-free pizza, or needed pizza made with non-GMO organic ingredients that only fell off the tree. :rotfl: She was clearly very insensitive by sharing any food at all.:laughing::laughing::laughing:

That's right! Take care of everyone's needs or no one at all. What about the cleaning staff? Are they not worthy? I'm now wondering about the tip...:sad2:

The OP wasn't asking for anybody's opinions about the Diet Coke.

No one said he was. That doesn't mean we're not allowed to comment on it. My guess is that even if the OP had spoken about 40 ounces of water it might have gotten comment. It was part of a post on a public forum, it's available to comment on.

Right?!? Where did that even come from??? That’s rude.

As far as pizza-gate goes, if I’m offered a slice, I take a slice. I can also just say no. If we have people over, we tend to over order so we have extra. I understand if you were just offering to be nice.

OP, please tell me that this woman at work didn't try to take 1/3 of this pizza? (picture of a Brooklyn Dominoes pizza, large)

I've never ordered pizza and only assumed one slice per person. I'd be afraid that others would think I was cheap. That being said, while only taking one slice is obviously the polite thing to do, I really don't think it rises to an "OMG!!! Some people..." level at all.

I would never grab two of anything that was being offered up at my workplace or anywhere else. Pizza, cookies, brownies... all these treats and countless others are brought in by kind co-workers on a regular basis. You take one piece of whatever is offered to make sure everyone gets a chance.

I agree.

Have you guys seen the size of 1 slice of Dominos Brooklyn style pizza? They're big. And the OP got 2 LARGE Brooklyn pizzas. Not 2 smalls or 2 mediums. 2 slices of a large Brooklyn pizza is A LOT OF PIZZA!

That was my first thought. Those pizzas are huge to begin with and cut into 6 very large slices. Very rude on the part of the co-worker.
