OMG OMG OMG - Part 1-Pre Trip

Ok,

This is my warm up, I've been to the World many many times
and have yet to write a trip report...



My DGF is going to the World starting on May 1st with her Dad
and some family, they are staying at The Grand Floridian.
DGF's son and his new wife are both military and were supposed
to go, they unfortunately cannot-so DGF asked me to go!

I decided this past Saturday, I'm going!!!! Of course, I asked my family's permission and they not only said go, but my FIL paid for my plane ticket (he's the sweetest, said it was a gift.) My daughter said to take lots of pictures. My Mom said it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, not to pass it up. My husband, the down to earth one hedged at first, only because he loves me and likes me around 24/7...

So here it starts!~I need a plane ticket, I need a ride, I need park tickets!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!!

I called a travel agent, they are useless. I got a $174 offer for
stupid flight times or $600 for normal flight times.
So I went online.
I fly into MCO Saturday night-flight prices are actually reasonable
right now. $205 total, round trip, direct flights up and back...



ok, now how do I get to the hotel?
DGF's Dad is retired and driving down, so she'll be picking me
up at MCO. Going home, I think I'll use Mears, I have to leave
for the airport at 5am! I'm not waking up DGF when Mears
only costs about $20 one-way....

We've already decided to definitely hit MK and Epcot,
DGF wants to do a water park-as many times as I've been,
I have NEVER done a WDW water park!!!

Since she will have an UPH, I found out I can get 3 days UPH
for about $25 more than I would pay for 2 park days and 1
water park...

I'd like to take her to the Piano Bar at the Boardwalk,
Jellyrolls, something she's never done before...I read a thread
here from a husband who took his wife and her GF to Jellyrolls,
he wasn't sure she'd like it, he said he couldn't get her to leave
4 hours later!!! Definitely worth checking out, don't you think?

OMG OMG OMG, I'm going to DisneyWorld!

My bag was packed by Sunday!

Don't think all Travel agents are useless Please. Some of us just have no clue as to the importance of what they are doing. Robots. We also don't usually get a commission. I always ask if client wants inexpensive or best times.

Don't forget to call Mears at least the day before U are leaving for MCO from Hotel. I don't want U waiting for them and have them not show up. You can buy the ticket from the Driver.

I wish I was going with someone as excited as U. My family thinks I'm nuts for being as excited as I am. It would be so nice to have someone to commiserate with .

Say HI to Mickey for me tell him I will see him in September

this is how excited I am...3 more days!!!

I have never used a travel agent, this was the first try...
I always expect them to be able to do the commando planning
I have always done for myself-you are too limited in your abilities
to help the client (that's how I felt anyway)...when I told her the
internet showed much better options,
she "suggested I use the internet then." It was a total brush off.
No offense to all travel agents, just this one.

I love having the DISboards,
we can commiserate all over it together.
My family gets that blank stare every time I mention Disney---
to the point where they tell other people, "don't get her started."
I just laugh and smile, 'cause Disney makes me happy.
