OMG Jeff Dunham show..lol

On the same order as Jeff, has anyone seen Terry Fator? He has his own show now in Vegas, with his puppets. All his puppets sing, in different voices. We just love him!! DS thinks he's just a Jeff Dunham wannabe, but I think they have two very different styles and there is room in the entertainment world for both of them. :)

We saw Terry Fator live. I didn't like him at all. I thought his show was boring, I just couldn't get into it. I think maybe I was trying to compare him to Dunham (the other white meat....sorry, couldn't help myself). I just didn't think he was that good. Dunham blows away Fator, imo.

Saw Jeff a couple years ago and I don't think I have ever laughed so hard. We saw him in Houlton, Maine. Never heard of it? Neither had he and we just loved his local jokes.

I wouldn't of thought that anyone could make a terrorist funny, but HE does. Does anyone know when there will be new shows of him on TV?

Dh and I saw him here about a year aog and it was the funniest show I have ever been too. Now, with that said, I wouldn't take children because of the content, but that is JMHO. We have all of his DVD's and have even seen his 1/2 hour show, which has been cancelled.

I would love for him to come back here, his show had the largest crowd for our local Civic Center ever. I think he has a new special coming out in the next few months, can't wait.

You know, I'm not super "protective" for lack of a better word over what my kids watch...they do watch Jeff on TV (which is watered down some), but I agree that I don't think I 'd bring them to the show. I was actually surprised to see several kids of my younger ones ages. While Jeff isn't the most vulgar or vile comedian out there by far, he does get a few zingers in .

I did think it kind of funny to watch the couple in front of us though. They were late 70's early 80's and to watch them react to some of the more "adult" parts was cute. The lady would grab her DH's arm and giggle...so cute!

As far as his television show "The Jeff Dunham Show", the show was canceled by Comedy Central in December of last year.

I haven't heard of any new dvd's or tv shows of his on stage performances. If I ever hear of any I'll let you know. Vice-versa, let me know if you hear of any.

I loved the story that he told about his son making millions in the band Avenged Sevenfold and how he was making squat playing with Dunham~

Ahhh no worries though, he did say his son is his 401K...:rotfl:

My son now likes to call our friends named "JEFF"... "jeff-fafa..."

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:lmao:

DH and I love his specials. We did not like his show, we tried but just thought it was silly. I would like to see him in person....just to watch DH laughing at him would be worth the price :rotfl2:

I am a huge fan of Jeffff-fa-fa Dun Ham Dot Com! We saw him live last year and loved it. We did not like the Comedy Central show, though. It was like he was trying too hard.

My DD19 has several dvd's of him and I finaly watched one 2 days ago.I could'nt stop laughing. Now I can't wait te see the others!!:lmao:

The problem with the Comedy Central show was that they tried to separate Jeff from the puppets too much. He can make you believe that they are actually real by head and eye movements, reactions to real events and the idea that they work so closely together. When they separated them and tried to make them completely autonomous entities, it fell on it's face. I don't think, in the long run, it will hurt him too bad, but the show didn't generate any new fans and lost the interest of his regular fans within the first 10 minutes of the first show. It was just a bad idea and I doubt that Jeff had a lot of choice of the format used. Material maybe, but I think he knows what makes those little guys come to life and he had to know that this wasn't it.

He never looked comfortable in that TV show...almost like he was just there because his name was attached to it. The puppets are stars but only as long as people can marvel at how Jeff makes them come to life. We are all smart enough, I hope, to know that they don't exist without him literally hanging on.

I love Walter, Peanut and the Jalepeno on a stick

I love Jeff and his puppets, Peanut is my favorite. My friends swore we saw him on our Disney cruise back in 2005, but I don't know for sure.

I don't have children, but if I did I wouldn't have thought twice about taking them to the show, until I actually saw the live show, which is much better than the DVD's, which as you say are watered down. In fact, one of the DVD's has the option to bleep out those bad parts. There were alot of children at the show, so maybe parents didn't realize the content would be more suggestive, and some of the jokes, somc children might not have gotten anyway. I am sure there are other comedians more vile and vulgar, but he is the only one I really like, besides Bill Engvall and I have never seen him live.

I love Peanut.

I love Jeff fa-fa. I started to watch the weekly show and I agree it was boring. I have a ringtone with Peanut laughing and saying "aha ha ha Pick up the phone".

He was in Tallahasse last year and I couldn't get tickets. I love the story about the show with the sign language interpreter. I was :lmao::rotfl2:. Peanut is my favorite.
