Hi ya'll

So it's finally happening for this WDW lifer. Hotels booked. Everything is falling into place and then I realized I had a question and knew this place would be the best place to ask it

We are going the last week of April 2016. The 24th thru the 29th.
I was just wondering what we should expect as far as crowds? We will be there on week nights so I think that will help but I am not versed in Disneyland crows patterns as I am for WDW

That's for your help.

That should be considered a lower crowd time issue unless there is an event that I don't know of off the top of my head. The only issue with going that time of year is that some of the night time entertainment might only be shown on Friday-Sunday nights and park hours will be shorter.

Will you only be in the parks in the evenings? Even so, I would still suggest park hoppers because if one park seems too crowded for you, you can hop across the esplanade to the other park.

Crowd-wise, Disneyland sometimes feels more crowded because the walkways are much narrower than in WDW. Take your time and relax because the parks really do have a go with the flow/chill vibe.

Week nights only? Too bad, the lower crowds are generally in the morning & you'll want to check on park closing hours as they close earlier in "off seasons". Also as stated above during off seasons the nighttime entertainment schedule is different. IE Fantasmic only runs on weekends. Don't know about WOC or Paint the night. Generally park hours come out 2ish months in advance and entertainment schedules 6ish weeks FYI. Sorry for sounding so gloomy. :( But your first time to DL? How exciting!!

Well congratulations! Disneyland will be SO much fun for you :) I have been many times during the "off season" as well as "peak season" and while it still can be pretty crowded the crowds are noticeably lighter than during peak time. We have always enjoyed our stay no matter what the season....the only thing that can be a bummer is the earlier park closing hours and possibly certain rides being down for refurbishment.
