OMG!! I took the plunge!

I put the deposit down for Pop Century -- Preffered viewed for 5 nights. Starting October 26-31, 2005! Granted rates are not set in stone. But I know that we are going.

So now I need to put together a budget and get to saving!


now for a good laugh. DS is mad at me and said he wants to live somewhere else. I said so should I cancel the vacation. He said NO! I said should I just pick you up at your new home. He said Yes!

And congratulations on booking. You have plenty of time to budget and save.

DD just pulled that on me this weekend...said she wished she had a new house with a new mom. I cried!

It use to bother me when he said it. But he says it cause he did not get his way and I called him on the carpet for the way he was acting.

I had a good night reading all the great things about Pop. Now to get myself organized with all the tips I am going to get over the next 555 days.

At least one hour of OT a week goes straight to the Disney Fund.

I have a little trick when my kids (6 & 5). start with that nonsense. I tell them to call 1-800-New Mommy. I told them they can special order the kind of mommy they want and I will go away on a cruise while they test her out.

Needless to say, they've never taken me up on the offer and I have not heard the old "we want a new mommy" in a very long time!!!

Every 6 year old [except JC] in history says they Hate MOM or Dad. Then again at 13!! because you have RUINED there whole life.

When Dd said it I just laugh that made her so mad she ran to her room. But stubbed her little toe on the way,so she ended up back in my arms needing mommy's comfort.

I was thinking the same thing! I laughed when she said it when she was little - thus it hasn't been said in years since she didn't get the reaction she wanted!

My theory - and my father's before it - is that if your middle school age child doesn't hate you at least once a week then you aren't doing your job!

Ironic! Last night at the grocery store my DD10 gave me that look that said she wished she had a different mom. I told her I knew what she was thinking and she was surprised when I was right and wanted to know how I knew. I told her that I was 10 once also and sometimes wished that so and so's mom was my mom. Told her it was quite normal to think I'm the coolest mom ever one minute and wish she never knew me the next minute. Took the wind right out of her sails! She said "I hate it when you go all Mom on me" Whatever that means!

The one thing that I love about a long time plan is that you have plenty of time to save. It gives you plenty of time to plan which in truthfulness is one of my favorite things to do.

We are going this year in November and then not again until Nov of 2006. As much as 2006 seems so far away it also gives me time to let the kids get a little older and experience a new side of Disney as they reach height requirements for the "big" rides.

Congrats! I haven't booked our May 05 trip yet, but I've been saving for about a month now, and I'm amazed how well it's going!

Maybe one day I'll get up the guts to book....
